A Personal Trainer Resources Guest Post by J. Brown
There are lots of personal trainer resources out there that a lot of trainers aren't aware of. If you're just starting out you're going to want to check out what is available so you can be as successful as possible in your business. One good place to start finding personal trainer resources is the Build Your Business page above, which has links to personal trainer resources for all levels of your business, whether you just started out or you're looking to make some improvements to your already existing fitness business.
Obviously the internet also has a wealth of personal trainer resources from wikipedia articles to marketing programs.
Here is a list of some personal trainer resources that you might want to check out:
Craigslist- This is a good site to use for advertising to get more clients. It's a free site to post on, and you can create ads and post them in different categories that your potential clients might be searching in. Check out how other trainers in your area are using the site and look at their ads to get an idea of where you need to start. Be careful not to be spammy though in overposting or you'll be marked as a spammer by craigslist and likely have your ads flagged!
This Blog- Be sure to check out the other blog posts on this site as there is TONS of free content available that can help you figure out where to start, and work on things like improving your website and increasing your ranking in google. You can find blog posts by category by selecting a category at the top of the page to the right of this post, or you can type a keyword term into our search bar to pull up articles.
Freelance Sites- If you've gotten your business off the ground and are looking for personal trainer resources to help you take care of some of the small tasks attached to your business without having to spend all your time dealing with them, you should check out the different freelance sites available. There are several great freelance sites you can find on google and they allow you to hire people to do work for you virtually, and generally you can find people to do the job at an extremely competitive rate since they bid on your job.
For instance, if you wanted to hire someone to build a website for you, design a business card, or even post craigslist ads for you daily, you can go to one of these websites and find individuals who are qualified and will let you know their rate, experience, and how quickly they can get the work done. Just be careful to work with people who have reviews and ratings so you don't have to worry about running into any issues.
Again, there are TONS of personal trainer resources available online, and you should definitely check out other pages on this site to see what free content we provide that could help you.
