So You Want Tips on Advertising Your Gym?

0

Technology might have revolutionized the way we do things today including gym advertising. But just the same, there’s still the need to get the word out about your business. Advertising helps create awareness of your gym. The only difference lies in that you no longer need to spend tons of money just to advertise. Aside from that, it’s even easier to identify your target market than ever before!

Sure you still have the option of advertising in the traditional media, meaning, television, radio, and publications. But you know what? More and more people are shifting to the internet for all the information that they need. More and more publications are shifting to the internet to deliver their content. And more people are getting the latest TV shows and movies on the internet – though, sometimes, illegally. But I digress.

What I’m getting at here is that there’s a huge shift from the traditional media where gym advertising is expensive and less effective, to the internet, where advertising is cheaper and more focused.

So how do you use the internet to your advantage if you want to create some gym advertising for your business? There’s a lot of things you can do; and your options are growing everyday.

Let’s first focus on paid gym advertising. One of the most popular forms of paid advertising on the internet is called pay per click advertising or PPC. How it’s commonly done is that you work with a PPC company like Google and Yahoo and buy advertising credits from them. They then display your ads on sites that are related to your business and you only pay the company money when a person actually clicks on that ad.

What’s great about PPC gym advertising is that you still get your ads displayed but you only pay when your ads are clicked. Aside from that, your ads are more targeted because they are displayed in websites that are related to your product; in this case, your gym.

Or if you don’t want to work with PPC companies, you can contact webmasters directly and talk to them about the possibility of advertising on their site. That’s another option you have.

But let’s say you are cash-strapped and you can’t afford spending hundreds of dollars on PPC campaigns. Good thing is that there are free resources on the internet that you can use to create a buzz on your gym.

Let’s take YouTube as an example. YouTube has revolutionized how people watch videos. Every day, millions of videos are viewed on the website and there’s no reason you shouldn’t take advantage of that potential market.

What you can do then is post videos that would help promote your business. You can do this by posting instructional videos where you help answer people’s questions about fitness and stuff. Viral videos can also help create the buzz on your business. Some say the days of the viral video are over. But if you can still create a fantastic viral video then by all means, do it.

See? You no longer need to spend millions of dollars just to be able advertise your gym. The internet has made it easier for gym owners like you to conduct effective gym advertising, either by paying a small fee or for free. And the number of people using the internet will only grow in the years to come, so be sure you’re ready for them when they arrive.

* Results are not typical. Advertised results are only typical of people who worked their tails off and followed every one of the fitness marketing strategies and personal training tips that I outline on my site to really explode their fitness business. Also, if you click on a link on my site to someone else's product, there's a good chance I'm makin' a profit off of it, probably even a steep one.
