1. Bring Balance To Life and Purpose To Work by Demartini – Actually this is a 2 DVD set about enjoying a balanced life while living in line with your highest values. VERY eye opening.

2. Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting by Lynn Grabhorn – Amazing little gem about how to get what we want in life while enjoying the journey

3. Power vs Force by David R. Hawkins - Expains what determines human behavoir and how to get the highest results in your life. If you think power and force are the same thing, read this book and try the exercises, I think you'll be amazed.

4. The Power of Full Engagement by Jim Loehr and Tony Schwartz - This book blew my mind and has had a profound effect on how I go about my day. It explains why energy management and not so much time management is the key to a effectiveness and living a balanced life. It explains how to get more done in less time, how to a live life guided by your highest values and how to use the natural cycles of life to your advantage. Anyone feeling overworked or out of balance should definitely read this book…..it is truly groundbreaking.

5. Getting Everything You Can Out Of All You've Got by Jay Abraham - Most of Jay's products cost about 25 to 100 times what this one does. For the measly $15 or $20 this marketing book costs it packs one helluva punch and gives a thorough explanation of basis marketing techniques that work. Definitely must-know information for the small business owner.

6. The Success Principles by Jack Canfield - Packs the wisdom of about 100 self help books into one simple resource. Easy to read and apply.

7. The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle - The most powerful book I have ever read. Helped me to realize just how often I was mentally living in the past and future without ever really noticing the present moment, which in truth is THE ONLY thing there is (though it's not a thing). It also opened me up to just how attached I was to the "story" of my life. Read this book to bring a greater sense of inner peace to your life and workday.

8. Loving What Is by Byron Katie - Similar wisdom as 'The Power of Now'. Byron is the great "story buster" and will have you questioning your thoughts and beliefs in a simple four step process she calls "The Work" This book will definitely help to free your mind.

9. As A Man Thinketh by James Allen – An old book and a quick read that opened me up to truly understanding that I am exactly what I think. A classic.

10. Influence – The Psychology of Persuasion by Robert Cialdini - The best book I've read on why we do what we do. This not only helped me understand my own behavior but that of my prospects and customers as well…the lessons that can be applied to personal training and health club marketing are priceless.

11. How To Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie – Hands down the best book on social interaction ever written. When I read this book ( I actually listened to it on cd) my business literally doubled in a four month period.

12. The E Myth by Michael Gerber - Ground breaking book on why most business owners are too busy actually working to build a successful business. The book took me out of the constant busy work I was doing and truly freed me to be an entrepreneur.

13. The Four Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss – I call it 'The E Myth on Steroids'. One of the best books on outsourcing, time management, developing systems and lifestyle design ever written.

14. ANYTHING BY DAN KENNDY – Read his books, listen to his cd's, watch his dvd's and spend all you can on his products, it will come back thousand fold….any questions?

15. ( I added this one at the last minute) 16x by Richard Koch - How to be 16 times more effective in your business. A short but profound book.

I also recommend ANYTHING by Eben Pagan, most of his products are in the thousands of dollars but I truly believe he i one of the most intelligent marketing and business experts alive today.
