Bob Doyle from the DVD 'The Secret' on Attracting Wealth in The Fitness Industry

Chris McCombs (CM): Hi, Bob, how you doing?

Bob Doyle (BD): I’m doing great.

CM: Are you aware you’re being recorded and that’s okay with you?

BD: Yep.

CM: Okay. Perfect. All right, well I’m here with Bob Doyle. Why don’t you tell us a little bit about what you do?

BD: Well, I’m the facilitator of a program called “Wealth Beyond Reason.” That’s really my main focus. The “Wealth Beyond Reason” program is an online curriculum in the law of attraction. I’m very passionate in the law of attraction because it’s one of those – it’s an idea whose – it’s kind of been lumped up into a new age category, a metaphysical category and has not really been acceptable to just your average person, even though the law of attraction is actually in effect in everybody’s lives at all times. So my goal is to educate people on to how it’s at work in their lives and how they can use it to really truly live their lives by design.

CM: What is the law of attraction, Bob?

BD: The law of attraction is actually stated in several different ways. One of the most common ways that it’s stated is, “like attracts like.” I don’t like that definition because it’s too general and it’s not complete. To really understand what the law of attraction is you have to at least have a concept, a basic understanding, of how the universe is put together, what it’s composed of, which basically is – I mean, most people are aware that when you break things down to their smallest place, what you’re left with is energy in some form. So, energy follows certain specific laws. Many different ways to determine how energy behaves, but one of the most applicable laws to us as human beings is the law of attraction, which states that we attract into our experience those things with which we are in vibrational resonance.

Now, to understand that statement, you have to understand that one of the properties of energy is that it’s always vibrating at some kind of a frequency, and based on how it‘s vibrating we, as human beings, interpret that energy and create – literally create, in real time – our experience of reality. That’s everything we hear and see, everything that we experience with our sense is all basically assembling energy into some form. Now, we, of course, are energy too, so we are always vibrating something and we’re sort of sending it out there, if you will. That’s sort of a generalized way to say it. But we’re putting our energy, our vibration out there and whatever it is that we’re vibrating, whatever frequency we’re vibrating, it is seeking out other frequencies of energy that are in resonance with it. Not that they’re exactly the same, but that resonate with it, and they are brought in to your experience.

CM: So, how can a trainer apply this to his personal training business?

BD: Well, it’s one of those – I used to be a personal trainer, and when I was a personal trainer I had no clue about the law of attraction and it showed in the way that I did my business. My approach was, I had a real strong passion for fitness that, in terms of doing it as a business, it just seemed like the logical thing to do. But it really wasn’t something that I was thoroughly passionate about and I found that every time I got into the gym to train somebody, I really wasn’t having that much fun. And, if you’re doing personal training, or something like this, anything that you do in your life, really, if you don’t have a passion for it, if you’re not exuding joy in every moment of what you’re doing, if it’s not an extension of who you are, your sense of purpose and passion, you’re not going to do as well as if you were. If there was something you were joyous about. So, if you’re a trainer, or anything that you do in your life, you want to be clear on why you are doing it. So, if you’re a personal trainer, why are you in this business? Is it to make money? Hopefully that’s a part of it. Obviously, what you want to do is to take your passion for fitness and you want to help people. And in the process you want to be rewarded for the help that you’re doing in terms of revenue – generating revenue.

But you have to paint a more complete picture for that to really activate the law of attraction in a way that’s going to make attracting the right clients virtually effortless. If you just like, “I’m going to take any client because I need the money. I’ve really got to get clients,” you’re going to attract all sorts of people, and not necessarily the people who are willing to get you on a long term relationship to give you any real joy. They may or may not listen to anything you say. I know that as a trainer, for me, the most frustrating thing was knowing what these people needed to do, but then not being able to have them do it. So, if you are very clear about why you are in this business of personal training, and if it’s something that you would do even if you didn’t draw a paycheck for it, because you love it so much, it’s an extension of who you are. If you approach your business that way, you’re going to attract clients who are more in resonance with that true passion.

Who really want to know what you know. It’s really about, from the very beginning of your business, having a vision of yourself and your future, and what role that this plays in you having a life that contains all of the things you love doing. What part personal training play in this? How does this allow you to spend, or to express, value to the world through who you are? When you can get in that place, when you can have that vision of your business, not just this “Oh, I gotta get as many clients,” money making thing, everything is going to flow so much easier. It’ll just show up in the right people being introduced to you, the right people finding you through word of mouth, or whatever. If you send a consistent message, a consistent vibration if you will, you are going to attract consistently. But if you are all over the place, you’re going to get all kinds of people and it’s all going to be very frustrating.

CM: So, how can a trainer, even though he enjoys being a personal trainer, and that’s his passion, but he’s doing it 20, 30, 40 hours a week and it’s just kind of become a job to him, how can he bring more joy to work on a daily basis?

BD: Well, I think you have to be able to – one of the things about the universe is that you attract always, into your experience appropriately with your vibration. So, if you want to attract most quickly and efficiently – let’s say, if you’re going to spend 20, 30 hours in a gym and you want to enjoy it, you have to have this vision for yourself of enjoying every moment of your personal training experience. See, the more fun you have, the more you’re able to express your talents and abilities and not face resistance with clients you’ve attracted through inappropriate means, or whatever – and we can talk about that if you want to – the better you’re going to be at the job, and the better you are at the job, the more results you’re going to give to your clients, and it just stands to reason that those people are going to be happy and tell other people. At some point you will be filled and you’ll be able to raise your prices, your rates, because you get such great results and everybody knows you to love your job so much, and be so passionate, that you can get such great results, that if you wanted to cut back on your hours, you could. But you should have this vision for yourself.

You shouldn’t be afraid to dream big and think of yourself as one of the best personal trainers in the industry. If you see yourself as being that, if that’s who can become, then you really are, and you really believe that you are one of the best personal trainers in the industry, and you act in that way, you will attract appropriately. You will get the opportunities that are in resonance with that feeling, with that vibration of feeling you are one of the best and most well respected trainers in the industry. But if you play small, if you think “I’ve got to take this client, or that client, anything for a buck,” or if you’re not really clear on your approach to training, or whatever, you’re going to attract appropriately, and we’re going to get back to that frustration. Tell you what, I’m going to turn off my call waiting real quick – Chris, are you there?

CM: I’m here. Actually, I don’t know how to turn mine off so if mine starts going, which might happen, we’ll just talk through it.

BD: All right, well, mine, for whatever reason, it’s not letting me do it, so let’s just continue.

CM: Okay. Let me ask you a question. I know a lot of trainers who know this stuff conceptually, and they’re reading the books, they’re listening to the CDs, they’re watching the DVDs, they have the goals, they have the vision, but it seems only maybe 20 percent of trainers who know this stuff are able to really bring it to the table and apply their vision to their business, and have success. If a trainer has his vision and knows what he wants, are there any tools he can use to help him integrate it more into his belief system, more into his heart, instead of just on a conceptual level, to where it’s actually effective to his business and other areas of his life?

BD: Yeah. Absolutely. Again, it is – hold on, I’ve got to get another call, I really don’t know who it is, oh well – If a person has a vision for themselves and they know all this stuff intellectually, and they are doing all the stuff they are “supposed to do,” like they are making lists of things, they’re getting clear on their goals, they’re meditating or doing visualization and they’re still not getting the results they want, it’s because they have resistance on some level. Resistance is also energy. What it is, is it’s an energy system that’s flowing through the cluster of energy that we are that’s not in resonance with what they are saying that they want. For example, if they decide they want 10 clients a week and with those 10 clients they want to generate $4-5,000 a week, or whatever it is, just a number. And, they are excited about that, and they can visualize that, but they have resistance towards it because somewhere in their belief system they think that’s too much. Or, who’s going to pay that? Or, who would pay me that? Or, I don’t deserve that. All of those things. And so, those belief systems, and those negative feelings act as resistance, and they literally repel whatever it is that you were trying to attract in terms of your goal achievement. So, to get rid of that, you basically have to work directly on those energy systems that are the resistance. There are several ways to do that. The processes that you use to do that are basically referred to as releasing techniques. And there are several. The one that we use, in the “Wealth Beyond Reason” program is – and I recommend and do a lot of work with – is EFT, which is Emotional Freedom Technique. That’s based on – it’s kind of like acupuncture, except instead of using needles you’re activating certain points along your energy meridian in your body by taping on them.

Now, I know that sounds really way out there for a lot of people. And to watch it being done is even more weird and hard to get used to. I resisted it for a year. But then I just tried it one day. And what it does is it balances out systems, energy systems that are out of balance. If you have a negative thought, if you have a negative feeling, it’s simply a disruption in your energy system, and you can actually do direct work on that imbalance through this process, and others. There are other releasing techniques. I just like this one because it’s very direct and it’s very quick. For me, it’s been highly effective, and the student population has responded tremendously to it since we added it into the program because any time you have a limited belief come up, or a negative feeling come up, if you’re visualizing a future for yourself as a trainer with a great deal of success, but there’s some feeling in your gut that’s going, “But how? How will this happen?” Those little voices that tell you this is not going to happen – that is resistance, and with the tools, like EFT or some other releasing technique, you can literally let go of all of those beliefs and feelings so that they no longer act as a literal force field to deflect against those positive thoughts that you’re trying to attract.

And that’s where most law of attraction work falls short. People understand the concepts. They get the universal energy and vibrations, and attraction and all that, but there’s no one who told them about the resistance and how to deal with it. And if you don’t, the process will be extremely slow, or it will appear not to work at all. In fact, you are always attracting appropriately. It may just not – if you, what you’re thinking consciously that you want, what you’re visualizing consciously, is only a part of your overall vibration, whatever you’re sending out there and that’s only a part of what the term is “what you attract.” The resistance stuff has been there for years and years and built up since you were a child, limiting beliefs or whatever. Huge part of your vibration. Huge part of what the term is what you can experience. So dealing with that is crucial, absolutely critical.

CM: This tapping technique, is this something that would require a partner, or a practitioner, or something people can do on themselves?

BD: Yes. You can definitely learn to do it on yourself. I mean, there are practitioners out there. And the nice thing about a practitioner is – you’re looking at an emotional issue, most of the time. It’s doesn’t mean that you have to get to the root of them, or do some therapy, per se, but you are sometimes dealing with some very personal and deep stuff. And sometimes you just will not see it like another person will. A practitioner knows how to listen to the stuff that you’re dealing with and give you some areas to do the process on that may not have occurred to you before. But even without a practitioner, some very powerful work can be done on yourself just by learning the basic process.

Other nuances – I mean, I can send you to a resource where you can download free information on how to do it on yourself, but there are nuances, obviously, that will short cut the process, help you be more effective. It’s an educational process that you can embark on, and I have because I’ve found it be such a wonderful and powerful technique. Even if you don’t believe it or fully understand it, you can run it enough to have some effect, and then you’ll be able to say, “I want to pursue this more,” or, “I want to get a practitioner,” or, “I’m going to work on it myself,” or whatever.

CM: What’s the resource people can go to to learn more about this?

BD: If they want to, they can go to EFT.wealthbeyondreason.com. And if they do that, then they’ll be able to download the free instruction manual, and read the case studies, and get more information on EFT then I can possibly imagine. So, that would be a great place to start.

CM: Awesome. Let me ask you about – a trainer has his goals, he has his vision. Are there any tools that you’ve found effective, visualization, affirmations, vision boards, scripting, anything along those lines that a trainer can integrate to help bring his vision to him?

BD: Any and all of the above. It’s really a process – it’s really about finding which of those processes you enjoy doing. I’m big into visualization because it’s very easy. I just close my eyes and I get into that state of feeling that the situation I’m trying to attract is already happening. Many people have a problem with visualization. Meditation they may not be very good at, but they like cutting out pictures from magazines and creating vision boards, and that’s something that – if I do it – it’s on the computer because I’m just too lazy to go cut out pictures. But that process doesn’t work for me as well as, maybe, dragging a bunch of pictures online and putting together a photo shop, or something. I’ll do that. It’s about getting a vision of your future in front of you in a way that fires – that evokes a strong emotion. If your visualizations and your vision boards and your lists and your things like that do not evoke a strong emotion, then you are chasing the wrong thing.

Because you are wanting to, you’re wanting your vision to shift you in an emotional way, because it’s through your emotions that you change your vibration. So, it’s more than just thought and the images in your head and the things that you cut out. All those things, if they’re not working to change you emotionally so that you can get into that place of “Oh, my gosh, I have this now and it’s such a wonderful feeling,” and you love it, then it’s just basically impotent. You’re not getting anything accomplished that way. And what it also means, if you’re not feeling emotion, is that you’re also chasing after things that you think you should want, not necessarily that you do.

That’s why one of the first things we do in the “Wealth Beyond Reason” program is help people get to the real core values, whatever it is that’s real important to them, what they really need. A person might get into the personal training industry thinking, “Well, to be successful I need to get this many clients and make this much money.” But that’s just something that they learned from watching other trainers, or t.v., or reading magazines, or whatever. That’s why I say, your training business has to be a part of your whole life vision, so that you have to see how it integrates into you being the person you want to be, doing the things you want to do. When you can do that, then everything just feels so much better and you can get much more out of your personal training related goal.

CM: What would you say – I know some trainers who have not had a lot of success in the past and it’s really hard for them to see that it’s them. They externalize it all and they think that it’s because either the economy is slow, or it’s not the right time of year, or they’re not in the right area, or anything like this. Someone who really has it in their belief system, what are the first basic steps they can take to get into a more positive place?

BD: The first big step is for them to look around and see that what they’re telling themselves is not necessarily true. And in the area, they will probably find those trainers who are successful. Whatever excuses they’re using to justify how they’re not having success, if they open their eyes and look around a little bit, they’ll probably see people who will disprove that. So, the first step is to realize that all these thoughts that you’re having, they’re not necessarily universal truths or anything. They are things that you’re telling yourself and they are signs of resistance. They are ways of not taking responsibility for your own vibration, which you must do. If you’re really going to be successful in working with the law of attraction in an intentional way, you have to accept responsibility for everything in your experience.

Even though you’re not consciously saying, “Oh, I want this pain in the butt client,” or “I want this…” whatever it is that’s in your life that you’re not liking, it doesn’t mean that you consciously wanted it or put it on a vision board. If you’re in vibrational resonance with it, you will attract it. Remember that resistance is going on inside of you at the deepest level. So, those limiting beliefs or whatever it is that’s going on, they are what’s serving to attract. So, looking at your experience, there’s a way for you to see where you need to work on yourself. Not on moving, or changing - unless that’s something that comes divinely inspired to do once you get clear on your vision - but the thing that, if these are my beliefs about this situation, these are coming from within me. They aren’t necessarily the truth, it’s just resistance. So you can deal with it. Again, I go back to EFT which is something that I will do all the time, because most of the time, once you get past the intellectual understanding of how the law of attraction works, it’s all about dealing with resistance. All our work is about dealing with resistance. I always say that, ideally, we wouldn’t even have to be teaching about the law of attraction. Ideally, we would all just be following our passions and doing the things that we love to do and everything would just work.

But that’s not how we’ve been trained generation after generation. We’ve been told that this is a responsible way to make a living, this job is for a rare few, you’ve got to be lucky to have this one - all of that. We’ve learned those things and we apply them as if they’re true, and it just makes our work about following our passions so much harder because we believe - so many people believe - that following your passions isn’t necessarily the responsible thing to do.

CM: I know a lot of trainers are focused on money, but is money what they really want, or is it something deeper than that?

BD: It’s always something other than money. Money is - all it is, is a symbol of value. If you don’t use it, if you’re not doing something with it, it has no meaning or value whatsoever. So, people always get stuck on this “I need the money, I want the money, it’s going to solve the problems,” but it’s not. It’s going to facilitate you doing something, but whether or not you end up solving your problems with it has yet to be seen. What you want is to feel something. Ultimately, we all want to feel something. It’s a core desire we have. Whether it’s to feel safe, or loved, or we want a sense of freedom, we want to live in a sense of passion, or whatever, or a combination of all these things, and ultimately we believe that money - or whatever it is that we want to do in our lives or have in our lives, the car, the relationship, the career, the home - they are all there to facilitate a feeling. The way to short cut all of this, of getting to where you really ultimately want to be in life, is knowing what that feeling is and doing whatever you can to generate it within yourself through visualization, or cutting things out, or whatever.

Then, what will happen is, everything else will naturally fall into place. If it’s appropriate that your personal training business is a huge part of your money making aspect of this, then it will happen if you allow to be. But you don’t have to be attached to it being. If you let go of “this career has to be THE way I succeed” - if you can let go of that, what might happen is, you’ll see other possibilities, other opportunities, in addition to you doing the personal training. They come up that will accelerate your ultimate financial goal, or whatever your goal is, whether it’s financial, or overall emotion, or a sense of well being, or whatever. So, it’s about just allowing for infinite possibilities. That’s why I’m saying that doing personal training, or whatever it is you do as a career, it should be something that you love doing, but you can disconnect from the money aspect of it to whatever extent you can.

CM: I notice a lot of trainers get stuck on the action path, the “how” path, and that’s where the majority of their focus lies is focus on how they’re going to do this.

BD: Right. Marketing strategy. How am I going to get this many clients? The problem is, when we get focused on how we’re going to do this, how are we going to achieve this, what we’re really focused on is that we haven’t achieved it yet. We’re thinking we’ve got to figure all this out, because I don’t have this thing that I want. So, even though you’re trying to intellectually come up with stuff, you’re sitting at a place of “I don’t have it,” and that what’s you’re vibrating. It makes you work a lot harder because you’re literally attracting that you don’t have the success that you want, because you’re sitting there reminding yourself every moment of the day that you don’t currently have it. Does that make sense? It’s a little confusing but - it’s not to say, however, that you don’t take action. The key here is to take inspired action. Instead of racking your brain trying to figure out “how will I attract more clients?” or “how can I get more exposure,” you have to see that you have all the exposure you can possibly handle.

You’ve already got all the clients you can handle. That it’s easy. If you can get into that emotional mindset, then the things will occur. You’ll have an inspired idea about an action to take, whether it’s to place an ad, or write an article, or do something. An idea or an opportunity will present itself to you without you having to have struggled over it intellectually, because once you get into vibrational resonance with success in your business, as long as you allow it, it will come at you without you doing anything. All you have to do is take action as you are so inspired to do. To get to recognize the difference between “Oh, I figured this out,” and “Oh, this is an inspired action,” I guess it takes some practice recognizing that.

But, really, as long as you take action when you have the idea to take action, even if it doesn’t seem like it necessarily has anything to do with the final outcome you’re trying to attract, you are going to find that you are going to get there so much quicker. But if you analyze every little idea that comes up to you, every little inspired idea that you have, “Well, how could that work? I don’t know if I could do that.” If you get into that mode and never take action on it, then you will never reap the benefits of the action that you would have taken, or would have gotten, if you had taken the action in the moment that you had it.

CM: Let me ask you a question. I know a lot of personal trainers and fitness business owners that I’ve met in the past take appetite suppressants, or stimulants - energy pills - to help them with their workouts. These are actually drugs, as I’m sure you know. Would have any input or idea if this can effect their thoughts, moods, and then, actually, create a negative mood on what they create in their life?

BD: Yeah, actually, I think that’s a great question. I think in some cases, yes, obviously. If you take any kind of drug that alters the way you feel, then you are going to shift your vibration in that. If you have a natural way of feeling and then you change it, however you change it, you’re changing your vibration. Now, I’m not putting a good and bad label on this, I’m answering your question directly. Can it have an effect on how you attract? Absolutely. And it’s going to depend on how the individual responds emotionally to the physical effects of whatever it is they’re taking. Some people might be able to take them and it might actually help them, but it depends on the individual. So, yes, it will most definitely have an effect, but whether it’s positive or negative is going to be completely up to the individual person.

CM: Okay. How about this. How can a trainer who’s just learning this stuff, how can he pass some of this on to his clients to have them feel better about reaching their physical goals, or something like that?

BD: Well, that’s a really tricky one. It really depends on how well the trainer has done in attracting the appropriate people. For example, if you attract somebody who’s not open to this kind of conversation, you don’t want to start talking about the law of attraction, because they’ll look at you like there’s snakes coming out of your ears, because it’s a very - it’s a leading edge kind of thought and it’s not something that’s normally talked about. It’s one of those things that you almost want to wait until they ask you, and then it’s their game. It’s going to be one of those things that I think the trainer is going to intuitively know. I would not recommend trainers just, all of a sudden, it’s part of their deal, start talking about the law of attraction to people, because they may or may not be open to it. I know when I was a trainer, I had a meditation CD that is now part of the Wealth Beyond Reason program that I would, from time to time say, “this might be helpful for you.” But it was only after I established a relationship with the client enough to know this is something they might be open to, a conversation they might want to have.

Now, if you’ve got a client who is open to this, if you don’t feel well versed enough, in the law of attraction to really try to explain it - now there’s the movie The Secret that really helps people understand the law of attraction in an hour and a half. It’s a great way to explain it. Or, if you have a book that you like, or a resource that has helped you to understand, you might just pass that along. I think one of the problems with the law of attraction is that some people think they really have a handle on it, even though their not really effectively utilizing it in their lives. They have an intellectual understanding of it, and then they try to teach it. But they are not yet a living example of it, and there’s a big in congruency there. So, that communicates to whoever it is that they are trying to talk to, and that’s they are either going to resist it, or not listen to it all, or whatever. You have to first be a living example of the integration of these principles into your life, and then I think it will naturally come out in conversation, or through your coaching with your clients.

CM: I agree. I’ve found The Secret to be the best icebreaker out there to turn people on to this kind of thought. Let me ask you a question. I’ve had, in my life, negative and positive experiences where I can look at the odds - way beyond coincidental - where my thoughts created these circumstances. Similar to John Assaraf in The Secret when he’s talking about visualizing his house, then he realizes he’s living in his dream house. I have a lot of stories like that myself. Do you have any personal stories of anything like that that you’d like to share?

BD: Well, there’s so many things. That’s one of those - in just about every area of my life I can point to things. There was fun stuff, like, at the beginning it was all about acquiring stuff, for me. Getting out of my financial problems. Getting fun things, like exercise equipment and the dream car, and all of that. I was able to achieve all of those things by simply being clear on who I was and who I wanted to be in my life, releasing resistance all along the way. But mostly acting on inspired ideas. It’s not like I sat around and waited for these things to materialize, but at the same time, I didn’t suffer over how they were going to occur. The exercise equipment thing - it’s a long story, so I won’t bore you with it, but it all came. It was something that I’d always wanted. I didn’t necessarily want to pay for it. I thought it would be a great test to see if I could attract it without having to buy one. All I did - I never really sat around saying “how am I going to do this?” I just kept acting, taking inspired action, on ideas that I had, and finally I got this idea “Hey, call this guy. Tell them this, and see what happens.” And it worked. But it’s something that if I tried to intellectualize, I never would have thought. “How would this occur? This person doesn’t know me,” all of that. So, there’s all sorts of things. But now, this is just how I live. I mean, after 4 years of being in all of this - and even from the beginning, my dedication to myself, my commitment to myself was “I’m not going to look at this like a program or an exercise that I do one or two hours a day. I’ve got to do my law of attraction exercise. I’m going to live every moment knowing that I am attracting my experience. I’m going to learn from what I’m experiencing. And I’m going to do whatever it takes to shift my predominant vibration from where it is now, attracting things that aren’t so pleasant, to the things that make life more enjoyable.”

I always wanted to be able to be in a situation professionally where, if I didn’t want to do anything for a few days, and sit around and just play Xbox all day, and do nothing productive, that would be a dream come true. And I have that. But it’s one of those things where I just look around now and go, “Hey, I’ve got that.” It wasn’t necessarily something that I put on a list, or cut out, or did anything like that. It’s just part of my overall vision of what I want my life to be. Freedom is a huge one for me. It’s one of those things that just really drives me. To be able to do what I want to do, when I want to do it. So, I sit in that feeling as often as possible throughout the course of the day. The more I’ve done that over the course of the years, the more freedom I have, the more things come up. And it’s little things. It wouldn’t sound significant if I told them to you, but they all contribute to what my sense of freedom is, what this dream life is building before me.

CM: If someone’s sitting around and they notice they’re in a negative state, what’s the quickest way for them to get to a positive state?

BD: Well, again, if they knew EFT it would be a simple process. If you’re sitting around in a negative state, that’s a signal that you’ve got some resistance in this area, and you would work on that feeling that you’re having, right then, with the EFT process. I mean, you have to release it; that’s what you do. Now, there’s other ways. Sometimes meditation helps people, shifts their thought from a negative thought to a more positive one. Or, they read things, they make out their list, or they do that scripting you were talking about before. If they start to create a vision for something more positive in front of themselves, then that can be helpful. So, any of those little exercises can help. I often talk about gratitude. I can do hours on gratitude and the power of gratitude. If you are in a negative state, it’s sometimes a power to think about the things you are grateful for, things that do feel good about your life, because you’re in that place and it’s like, “I’m going to stay right here in a negative place, and that’s how it’s going to be.” If you have even just a little list of things that remind you of the great things that are in your life that no one can take away from you, that alone can help.

Because if you get into an emotional state of being grateful for even just the small things in your life, you shift your vibration towards gratitude, and thus you attract more things for which to be grateful. Your experience in life becomes much more pleasant. Now, you have to be willing to let go of that negative feeling and some people are resistant to that. That’s who they are. That’s part of who they are. The way they operate is they get these negative feelings. People know them for their moods and all this. They are afraid that if they give up the negative thinking, that they are going to lose their identity. Well, they have to take a step back and realize how destructive that is, and how it serves no one, and it’s certainly not going to help them achieve a life of their dreams. They have to be at least willing to try to see what it feels like to let go of those feelings, and EFT is a great way to experiment with seeing what life feels like without the necessity of feeling bad at any given situation.

CM: Wow. This is great stuff, Bob. How can people learn more about your Wealth Beyond Reason?

BD: Well, easiest way is just to come to the website. That’s www.wealthbeyondreason.com. And we have lots of sample material that we give free of charge, they just ask for it and we’ll send it. Chapters from the textbook are in there. We’ll send them audio programs, health seminars. We’ll teach them about EFT. We’ll do all that stuff even before they come into the program so that they really get a sense for how we communicate, how we teach, and where we stand on the law of attraction. We are no nonsense. We hold people accountable. We are very, very committed to our students coming in and getting results, not just learning about the stuff and collecting more stuff for their bookshelf.

A lot of people do come into our program saying, “I have taken all these courses. I’ve got books and books of personal development, blah, blah, blah. I’ve seen this guy and that guy.” We have to deal with that right away, because that person has become a person who does programs, who works on themselves. That’s who they are and that’s what they vibrate, and they are going to continue to attract “working on themselves.” Until they can let go of that part of themselves and decide that they are going to be a person who has the results, they won’t be able to attract those results. So, we start working on that right away, which I think, again, is different from a lot of other basic law of attraction programs that are out there, that say “like attracts like,” or “focus on this,” or “just make a list.” Our program is designed for those people who are the hard cases, who are very analytical left-wing people who need to have the science behind it, aren’t going to take blind leaps of faith, aren’t into new-age type of thing or whatever. They want to know why this works and how to implement it, and that’s what our program is about.

CM: Awesome. This has truly been an honor. Is there anything you would like to add to this to tell the personal trainers out there who really want to be successful?

BD: The only thing I really like to say at the end of things is just to remember that regardless of whether or not you believe it, or understand it, or any of that right now, you are, in every moment, attracting your experience. So, whatever is going on around you, or in your business as a trainer, or whatever, it is because you are in vibrational resonance with it happening. It cannot occur in your experience if you are not allowing it. It doesn’t mean you’re wanting it consciously. It means that you are allowing because of your vibrational resonance. So, to be able to eliminate those negative things from happening, you’ve got to deal with the things that are attracting them in the first place. So, be aware that in every moment you are attracting. And you have a choice in every moment how you’re going to feel about the things that occur. That feeling is going to determine what you attract next.
