My Daily Ritiuals For Getting Stuff Done and Living A Balanced Life

It is very important to have rituals set in place every work day that allows you to get the things done that you need to get done in your health club or personal training business.  There should be scheduled blocks of work time and scheduled blocks recovery time.  Just like in weight lifting, a muscle needs to be worked, and then a period of recovery needs to be allowed for that muscle to get stronger, before the next workout, the same is true for work in the business life.  I schedule blocks of time of 90 to 120 minutes of intensely focused work time, where I will focus usually on a particular task with short breaks in between those periods of time.  These short breaks are usually anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour.  Here is an example of my current daily rituals.

8:00am: I wake up and say a gratitude prayer.  I eat a healthy meal.  I review my goals and visualize for a few minutes, and I play the game brain age, to keep my mind sharp.

8:45am: I create content for one of my businesses.  Either I'll create content by writing some articles, or sales copies for my locally based business that I own, or I'll create content for an information product I'm working on, or I'll write a post or some copy for this website.

10:30am: I exercise, and take a snack break.

11:30am: I have a two hour period where I focus on a prioritized task that is very important to moving my business forward.  Typically this either involves some kind of marketing, strategizing, or fine tuning a sale system.

1:30pm: I meditate and take a snack break.

2:00pm: During this period, I will handle e-mails, phone calls, and miscellaneous tasks and follow ups, and possibly work on any tasks that I began this morning during my earlier two time blocks that I did not finish.

4:00pm: I will take a family break of approximately 15 minutes to 30 minutes, and spend time with my family, playing with my kids, rolling around on the floor.

4:15pm or 4:30pm: I will study marketing, sales and business philosophy for approximately two hours until 6:00

Using this system I am able to get more done in six hours of highly focused work than I was in the past in twelve to fourteen hours of multi-tasking. Check out the book "The Power of Full Engagement" for a detialed explanation for this kind of energy management system.
