I can't believe this. This is a killer strategy. I had given out Free 1 week, 2 week and 4 weeks workout coupons on self-printed paper and haven't got a single soul. I believe there is no perceived value when the coupon says it's FREE and it look cheap on self-printed paper. Having $100 value on a plastic card is just awesome. I got to try this.

My graphics guy just sent me the 1st draft yesterday and I'm about to unleash the fury at my camps to bring in referrals.

OH MY GOODNESS Steve, this is pure genius.

One feels so appreciated when they receive gift/cards, and to take that idea (plastic cards have money value) that is burned into our consciousness as a society is just great! Hey STARBUCKS uses it when they give you a couple free internet hours AT THEIR LOCATION if you buy a $5 dollar CARD to use that has the scratch off code strip on the back (most people's purchases are probably about $5 dollars so you mine as well get an extra couple of internet hours).

They are super successful and if they use the power of those magnetic cards it makes sense for smaller businesses that want to be successful to use them as well. Great Post Steve!!

HEY GUYS… AN IDEA..

Steve.. not sure if you have tried this or know anyone that has… BUT

I notice they have Discount Cards on the site… WHAT IF… you teamed up with businesses in your local area (you pay for the cards in exchange for having their name out on it offering say 10-15% off some service or goods) and then give them out to all of your NEW Signups?

Go into the business with a giving hand say Hey I'd Love to promote your business I am getting 20 new people per month.. here's what we can do… something to that effect

Let me know if you have tried this, or if not what your thoughts are..

If you wanna improve your Bootcamps or you are wanting to launch a product and need some market research done… Offer them as a gift in exchange for their participation…

If you are giving mini seminars or what not in your area… take some with you and give them out at the end of the speech.. or better still.. Raffle them off.. (free raffle) but make it into a competition depending on how many ppl are in the audience… bigger perceived value and people go nuts over competition draws…

EVEN BETTER… actually charge money for them but have the money that you make from them go to The Red Cross or some other local charity…

Damn… ideas are just flowing through…

I look forward to hearing other blokes and sheilas ideas…

Seriously anyone out there who is doing bootcamp…listen to what steve says and do it…not in a couple of days or weeks…do it now, it will pay unbelievable dividends.

I am a 19 year punk kid from Australia, I have done exactly what he says and I already have 5 paying clients after 5 weeks…and I had never taught a single boot Camp before…if I can do it, anyone can.

Hey Steve,
I saw you say this briefly before i think a couple of weeks ago. Its a killer idea, so as soon as I saw it I put it into place with my existing bootcamp recruits and and bam 15 out of the 19 referred somone with it. That is rediculous, how bout in 2 months when these new recuits direct debit comes out its going to be an extra 330 dollars in my pocket… for only the cost of $150, I dont know about you but when a form of marketing brings me in 20 fold what i have spent i think thats a good promo.
I also dropped them off 8 of them to 5 business that i do referrals with, and told them that I have spent $110 dollars per card( which is on the card) for them to give to there most exclusive clientelle to make it look like they are doing there clients a favour but in turn there just making me money.
Then i rang up the local hockey under 20's team and gave them 8 gift cards for the players that need it the most.
Talk about a great idea man.. I cant wait for it all to move forward..

Used these for the first time today. Gave them to the chiro, tanning salon, and a hair place. It's amazing how much more respect people pay these vs. paper cards.

It's insane. I'll let you know how it goes in about 2 weeks.

On the back of my card it say "Can not be combined with and other promotion… Since the "Get first 2 weeks free" is a promo… They have to use one or the other… oh and it says for first time clients only… So they can only get two weeks free out of it which is what I give away anyway….

Note.. I have them fill out my agreement, CC and all with the understanding that if they don't email me that they don't want to continue after their FREE 2 weeks, there card will automatically be charged!

No, I use my post cards display ads for other businesses… They are more visible..

But I give some to the owner/manager to pass them out prsonally and I also use them to mail to the business database.

In general you enter a JV with a giving hand… A great way to build an instant bond, with let's say a tanning salon, is to tell them that you are interviewing the top tannign salons in your city so your clients will know where to go… Do a video interview with them and really pump them up big time… They will love you for it and want help you in return.

I love this idea and will definitely implement once I receive my cards. I ordered them on May 5, and still have not received them. Has anyone else had a tough time getting your cards?

I ordered my cards within hours of watching this video… Which was what a WHOLE month ago now? I'm not to impressed with their level of customer service. Really slow on responding to my emails and they over charged my credit card and told me they would give a refund, but have yet to do t. That was two weeks ago… Perhaps you have some influence over them Steve? The marketing idea is supreme! But I may have to find another company to order from….

I always save these emails along with Bedros' for when I have time to get to them…I know this was posted in April but I finally looked at it and it's a great idea! Just saw the balloon one too..

I don't want to make this seem like I'm turning this comment into a forum post, but definitely DO NOT order from plasticcardexperts.com. They advertise order completion in 7-10 days and I ordered mine over 6 WEEKS ago and still have not received them. Customer service is horrible and they never call you back. I was promised delivery two different times after calling and complaining and they said they would over night them to me, and I still didn't get them.
