This Really Got To Me

83

Hey there, hope you're awesome

I need a HUGE favor from you, I got this email the other day, and it really got to me, it would mean the world to me if in the comments section below you could show this guy some love and maybe give him some words of wisdom, share how you've triumphed over hard times, whatever you can do to show him some support… like I said, when I read this it really got to me, especially being a father myself… I did a little something to help him with his business and I also told him I can just feel it in my bones that this is gonna be the Decade of Michael…

Unforeseen challenges can hit any of us at any minute, not that we should walk around worried about it, in fact… quite the opposite, I think we should expect good things to happen, however… when the chips are down on one of our own, I think we should have their back.

So, if you could show him some fitness industry love in the comment section below that would mean a lot to me ( and I'm sure to Michael as well)

The second paragraph is the part that really got to me

++++

Thank you Chris….you are a true inspiration to me bro.

I used to live in Houston the last four years and just recently moved to a suburb 15 mins away from Chicago. So when I get more clients… I want to become a member of your Fitness Profits Blueprint Program and anything that can help me like your Market Annihilator Program. That's when I can afford it… right now, I am just barely getting by with making bills, like my unexpected medical bills.

I had lots of downs in my life recently within the last two years… between losing my 11 yr. old son Joshua in a car accident, myself being in coma from the accident and not being able to speak for nearly 10 months, my fiancee breaking up with me because of my coma and just recently losing my dad and supporting and living with my mom in Chicago now. So times are tough but watching all your videos inspire and motivate me to keep working and to not give up.

Even though life has knocked me down, the last two years… I am paying true respect to the both my son and father by getting back up again and keeping on. That's the best way I can honor them. This is why after the loss of them and surviving my coma that I seek a motivational and fitness field of work….. and I promise not to give up.

I will keep laying the groundwork for change. Thank you Chris

Sincerely & Respectfully,
Michael Angelo Morales

P.S. This is one of the last photos I ever took with my son Josh

+++

Like I said, I did a few things to help Michael with his business and would be stoked if you could just give him a minute or two of your time with some comment love below… he deserves it

I SERIOUSLY think this will be the friggin' Decade of Michael… his attitude is good, he's taking action and ready to kick some ass

He ain't playing the 'poor me' card, he's just telling it like it is, and sometimes life is tough… and sometimes the ones who have the darkest hours are the ones who end up soaring the highest… I've seen it many times with my own eyes.

I am so grateful for what I have, and to have you as a reader of this blog

THANK YOU SO MUCH

Michael- God bless you for carrying on after this
tragedy…my young son, Tristan is 7, and reminds me very much of Josh…I pray continually for the safety
of my children, and although I am incurably Ill,I
am always thankful that they are not-I know how hard it is to have faith when life seems so unbearably cruel-but "pray without ceasing", is the best advice I can give you; with the love and abundant prayers of myself and my family for you and yours-Josh is in a better
world than we are, and I am sure of this…Aly

You are an awesome man Michael, and good for you to persevere – I am 21 years old and don't have any kids, I have no idea what it's like to go through what you have- but I am very close to my family and love them so much I don't know what I would do without them.

I will be praying for you and your business and that God will have favor on you and your finances.
Put Him first and you will be blessed and rewarded.

Keep going hard- and stay strong

For the short time I have known and trained with Michael he has been very inspirational. One of the first things that I have noticed from him was his awesome positive attititude towards any situation and those around him. He is always someone who you can count on, and is there to lend a favor. I myself am in my early 20's and am trying to get my life together, and he has been there to offer great advice to me. I think that he is a prime example that no matter how hard life seems at times there is and can be a way to get through it.

It's how you make it through the storms that make the difference. Rely on God for strength and comfort to presevere. You may think your strong enough to handle everything on your own but honestly none of us are. We all need Him, he made us and knows how were wired. I admire your attiutude, and congrats and your own bussiness. This is a amazing acomplishment. Keep it up bro!

Hope you are doing well buddy. You remind me of the old saying "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger". If that holds true, you're a very strong man. It takes alot to get back up. I like your attitude on "honoring" your dad and son. Take care buddy!

… And people complain about the little bulls**t that they have to deal with in life. Reading stories like these really puts things into perspective. If this dude can keep going after so much loss, I don't see any reason for others to cry about their little problems. It's Mind boggling.

Anyways, I do have a tip for you Michael. Share.

Share this story with as many people as you can, there is NO ONE it cannot motivate. Not in a "victim" type deal, but in a way that shows people why can pretty much do anything they put their heads too. Real, living role models that blowtorch through all odds are hard pressed to find. You my friend, have the will of a champ.

Good luck to ya.

Yo Michael,

I don't know what to say really…only that i feel like i understand somewhat.

I lost my mother to cancer and i saw my sister die in an accident that never should have happend and other events that i dont want to go into right now…so i kinda could say i feel ya pain.

But dont ever give up on ya dreams and in life.

Dont regret anything from this day forward.

We could be here today and gone the next.

So enjoy life to the fullest and find every way possible to just be happy. I think that is our true goal in life….to just find ways to be happy…and make others happy.

By the way i'm from Chicago also.

Would love to meet up with you and discuss ways to help each other.

Michael @ 2:35 am #

Michael,

I tip my hat to you for staying strong and positive. Keep your mind focused and keep striving! You will reach your goals by keeping your current attitude. I say this speaking from my own personal challenges in life. It's amazing what a human mind can accomplish when inspiration and persaveance meet. You're in the right place. Most trainers have no clue of the knowledge Chris is dropping…I guarentee that. Keep soaking it up! I'll be praying for you.

Doug @ 2:40 am #

Michael,

Keep up the good work and don't ever lose that positive attitude, it will get you through anything!

Last year when the construction industry took a nose dive, I got screwed out of $10,000. I was about to get married and I didn't have a job and we were living off of our credit cards, my fiance was having anxiety attacks almost daily. After our honeymoon I got a part time job and my mom paid for my CPT class for me. It's taken me a year to get back on top but I did it, I grunted through it by pure will and determination. Now all our bills are paid and I even have a little money to put back into the business, I'm even looking into opening a second location. I'm not at six figures yet, but I will be someday and so will you!

You have a support group around you, use it, feed off of it. You're mentally tough, you've been through some really bad stuff, worse than me, but if you've made it this far it can only get better from here. Your son and your father would be proud! Good luck man!

I wish you every success. You'll come through this stronger.

Make the most of every day and fight for your future.

My hat goes off to you Michael. What a man. I am 24 and a mother to 3. 5 year old Brandi and 3.5 year old twin boys Kobe and Jack. I almost lost one twin at birth and the first 4 weeks of his life were a cliffhanger…
Honestly… if I lost him, I dont think I would have had the strength to pull through like you have. Especially without the support of a partner.
But it shows true character to have such devastating setbacks in life and to rise above and make something of yourself. Be the best man you can be, im sure thats what your son would have wanted. Keep doing your best mate and be so proud of yourself. Im sure there are many blessings going to be coming your way very soon.

Hi Michael:

Life was like this for me for almost a decade. My dad passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in 1995, leaving my sister and me to care for my handicapped mother. I taught in extremely stressful inner city schools. My racquetball business was so slow.

But I overcome by the blood of the lamb and the Word of my testimony! I speak God's word into all of my circumstances and have been since being with Real Life Church since 1997. God's Word and a personal relationship with Him change everything!

To see the incredible turnaround and current prosperity, could you please go to http://www.racquetballguru.com.

Hey Micheal,

I must say you are an inspiration yourself by showing the attitude of a winner. Life has beaten you down but you stood up again and kept moving forward… You are STRONG amigo!

You found the positive in your loss although it is probably the most difficult thing in the world…

You are an example

I believe in your further success

I REPECT and APPRECIATE you

Chris Ranes @ 4:32 am #

Aloha Michael,

First off, a pat on the back for not tapping out. You've been through more than any person should have to go through.

If you ever need a peer to talk openly with, to bounce ideas off of, to find out what's worked for them, or even just to "talk story" (Hawaii phrase that basically means "shoot the shit"), I'd gladly be one of those people for you.

I'm not Chris McCombs or Bedros, or Steve, Pat, Zach, or whoever, and I can't imagine what you've gone through.

However, I did go from homeless, broke, alcoholic, and worse, and still can't lift my right arm up to shoulder level to this day because of a bad motorcycle accident, to a pretty successful albeit small personal training business (it's still just me) that lets my help a lot of people, and makes me pretty decent money (more than $75,000 last year).

This past year, I even had the opportunity to do 20 hours of volunteer work training a group of 15-20 kids at the Boys & Girls Club. I didn't write any press release for it (should have wrote a press release but felt "guilty" at the time for seeking any publicity for helping kids) and I didn't get any new clients from it (that wasn't the point) but it did make me feel mega-empowered and intensely satisfied to be doing well enough to help those kids.

Please know that I'm not selling anything. Just putting myself out there.

Best of luck to to you, Michael. We're all behind you. Stay up!

Chris

Hi , you work really does inspire I to had car crash injuring myself I came to FBS09 to get back on track it was due to be my last roll of the dice before . Whilst I was there my girlfriend had become ill and slipped into coma yours Sarah;s and Bedros support was awesome.
Well I was not as strong as Micheal and did let things get to me. I developed a victim Mindset. And law of attraction everything got worse.
Reading your blogs has helped to lift me and change my mindset. You really do lift ,motivate and inspire. It helps more than pure self help books because of the focus it gives and actionable steps. So can actually feel life being turned around.
I would like to thank you and Michael for sharing this as its added to my fire of inspiration.
The most important thing I have got from you is that if you want success you can make it . The trainers making more than me are not better trainers just taken more action.
I would also like to thank the other readers comments Adam Toohey and Michael 2 guys I meet at the Summit who are now Killing it.

So Thanks for being the No Bullshit Kick in the arse I need some times.

Michael, I too have been inspired by Chris,Bedros and Steve as they faithfully put an email in my inbox every day. God will get you through your tragedy and through faith he will bring you up to your full potential and bring people to you. You will be able to help them overcome any doubts they may have about themselves for you have sacrificed so much in a short time. Its so awesome that your moving in a direction to help others and by doing that you will help yourself! Good Job and I pray for your success. :-) My motto and my slogan is: To Be Positive Is To Be Successful! :-)
God Bless You Michael.

Scott Williams @ 4:55 am #

Hey Michael,

There really is no better way in the universe that can you repay and respect your son & father other than getting up and fighting like crazy to continue with your life and live it to its fullest potential(that is what they would of wanted for sure).

As for the fiancee, no offence dude but if she is not prepared to stick by you in hard times then she was not the right girl for you. Guaranteed the right one will be around the corner somewhere when you are ready for her….

I have a young baby girl and everyday I have some thought or worry about her. I cannot imagine what you are going through inside mate, but you are strong man for pushing forward with your life.

Myself, and I am sure like Chris and many others are just an email away for advice or a sounding board for your business to get it up to the level that can have not only paying all the bills, but also making a great profit for yourself and really getting ahead.

If you have any questions etc about anything to do with the fitness industry don't hesitate to contact me at all.

Not sure what you have in the way of Chris's programs but be sure to dig deep into them as they are fantastic and will really show you the way to taking your fitness business to another level.

I am the Australasian distributor for a great DVD and Gratitude Diary that you may interested in (not the answers by any means but it is a great DVD to watch). It is called 'The Secret' and if you want a copy of them mate they are yours FREE ( not much I know but a small gift that I can send you that may help you out a bit).

Head to my website: http://www.succeed.com.au and get my email address from there and give me your address and I will send you a copy.

Take care mate and keep moving forward.

Michael,

Your attitude and outlook on life are truly an inspiration. With an outlook like this, nothing can get in your way. You have had incredibly difficult circumstances, and the strength that you have gained from surviving and persevering from your losses will only push you forward in your career goals.

Your son and father would be so proud. Keep up that positive spirit and keep that momentum going. Remember what Chris said, this is the Decade of Michael…

Linda J* @ 5:07 am #

Michael;

It's so easy to feel resentment when you feel that you've been dealt a bad deck in life. BUT, you have obviously decided to find the positive from a very negative situation. I have two children of my own and pray for their safety everyday. I respect your stregnth and dedication and KNOW that THAT will bring you success in business and in life.

I as a parent, teach my children to give to others and never expect anything in return. As a trainer and wellness professional, I feel that when you go above and beyond for your clients and give because you care (and not in it for the $) it all comes back to you! It's the old saying, "what goes around comes around". Keep caring, giving and training as best you can. Take lifes experiences and the lessons you've learned (there's a lesson to be learned in everything)and apply them to your business. Set a good example for your clients and your collegues and you will be rewarded. Be you're own walking advertisment and it'll all come to you!

Find solace in knowing that your beautiful son is with you and lives within you and carry that feeling in your heart.

NEVER give up or loose hope! You can achieve anything if you focus and keep at it. Just remember, what you put out, you'll receive back!
Life will reward you!

Linda*

God Bless you!

Greetings Michael,

It is clear that you have an honorable heart and strong spirit to go and help your mom after the emotional, physical, and spiritual pain that you've endured the last couple of years. Your story is success in the making and will inspire countless amounts of people with that courageous attitude and willingness to serve others. With the guidance, training, and inspiration of Chris and his incredible team combined with your unwavering Faith and tenacity- you WILL triumph and prosper Michael.

I'm a father of a little 6 year old girl, have been in the fitness industry for 10 years and she is my "reason why" I wake up early, stay up late, and am so passionate about what I do for a living. As a father, we have the chance to set a good example, lead from the front, and paint a picture for our little ones that anything is possible if you want it bad enough and are willing to do the work. Pictures of my daughter surround me in my office to help keep me laser focused on my goals, to keep me humble, and to act as a constant reminder that I'm making her proud of her daddy. As I look at your picture with Joshua, he looks SO PROUD of his daddy.

God has prepared you for a life of abundance, happiness, and love. Don't ever lose that burning desire to be more, do more, and have more because you deserve it and He is waiting for you to accept it.

Thank you so much for sharing your powerful story Michael. Your Dad and Joshua are smiling down upon you because you are a shining example of encouragement, empowerment, perseverance, and they are well-pleased.

With Gratitude,

Terry Shorter

Michael,

There is no better way to honor your son and father than rising up and taking the fight head on. We have a business that can overwhelm you but when you do it right can be the best thing that ever happened to you.

When I started out I held strong that "If you take care of your clients with everything you have, you will never hurt for more". 10 years later I will tell you from experience it is the truth.

Work hard on growing your business but show your gratitude to those you have! We already know you're a fighter, Just stay strong, focused, and take it one day at a time!

All the Best

Adam Toohey @ 6:16 am #

Michael,

You are an inspiration period!

Sooooo many people give up after challenges they deemed to hefty to overcome when in reality, it was mostly in their head.

Not in your case.

There's a saying… If you're going through Hell…. Keep Going!

And you did…

Even the one that was closest to you gave up on you… the most important factor is you did not, and will not give up on yourself and your focus lies in honoring your son and father which is a constant source of drive and desire.

Again you are an inspiration and there are sooo many people out there just waiting to be touched and inspired by you and your story.

Uplifting comments are great… mastermind groups and soundboards are also great. So if there's anything I might be able to help you with mate just hit me up.

If anything I have learnt or experienced will help you in business and life I would be honored to share it.

My very best to you Michael

I feel really bad about all that has happened to you the last couple of years. Keep heading towards your goals and desires, just by deciding like you already have, you're on the right path. Hey Mike,

So many times in life we sweat the small stuff and when tragedy strikes we step back and revaluate our lives and all the small things that we worried about seem to become trivial and meaningless.

Last week one of my students wives dropped dead suddenly and unexpectantly from heart failure, she was only 44, she left behind her husband and 2 boys, 6 & 10 years old.

After what happened last week and reading your letter to Chris the little things really don't matter, what does matter is living your life to the max, every second of every day and taking care and helping those around you.

Live your life to the fullest to honor your son and father and give back when you can. Good things do happen to good people.

Keep on Kick'n!

All the best.

Michael

Hey bruddah, I can't even dare say I understand your experiences, BUT, I do know a thng or 2 about falling down and getting back up and again.

I am a HUGE believer in training the mind and body together, you are already on the road to victory, b/c U chose to get up and push forward to kick ass.

Most people stay down….

You have made the choice to kick ass, and you are reppin for your family.

I would like to try and help, but in exchange, you must help someone else down the road.

3 people to be exact is who and how you will help, aka, "Pay it Forward"

Pls. Watch this and then read the rest of my comment for you bruddah:

I would like to offer EVERYTHING I can…..

I'll send you my system for training

Let's get on the phone & do a 1 hr coaching call

I have a seminar at my gym on Nov 14th in NJ

it's a mentorship & certification w/lots of killer shit to help U kick ass

….it's a trip for you, you can drive 16 hrs if you want (like I do, ha ha) or fly here

it's a saturday only, but if you wanna come a day or 2 early I will teach U everything I can about growing your business and get to the gym in the morning and spend all day and night helping you

It would be my gift to you.

Hotels in my area are anywhere from $$ 70 – 110 a night

I hope I can help you bruddah.

But, remember, you MUST pay it forward :)

That's all I ask……

I'm ready when you are :)

Michael, hang in there. Good things are coming your way. You are doing the right thing by talking with Chris McCombs, Bedros Keulian and Steve Hockman. These guys are the real deal. They really care a lot and their information is right on. Good luck on getting your fit body boot camp location. I have been reading your posts. You are definitely ready for good things to happen. When you get your location email me and we can discuss what I have learned from my two locations in the suburbs. You have a great attitude and you will soar high.

Michael,
you will succeed first and foremost because of your attitude! No matter what happens in your life you are staying positive and that is the key to moving forward in this life! Focus on a few key things and your business will start to soar. I am Sure Chris has given you some great ideas but in case you haven't thought of it:
-Referrals – keep asking for them
-offer some free training and get started with some clients then leverage them to help get you more
-Get testimonials from everyone!

There are tons of great ways to grow your biz but don't get overwhelmed pick a few and focus on them then pick a few more and focus on them!

Good luck

Michael, I don't even want to think about what it would be like to lose one of my children.

My identical twin daughters were born with Osteogenisis Imperfecta. We had 10 major bone fractures before they were 18 months. Whenever I start to feel small, I look at my girls. The are the strongest and bravest little people I have ever met. If the break a leg, again, they work around it. The intermittently learned to crawl, stand, and walk with a full leg casts. Which brings me to my favorite quote:

"When we are strong, we are greater than the thing that happen to us."

Dana @ 7:18 am #

No…I definitely don't pick up and "poor me" energy at all from Michael's note. What I do get is the story of a man who is unstoppable.
Michael…keep the faith. They say it's always darkest before dawn and I pray your dawn is here now.
I have no doubt your son and father are so proud of you and your strength. I know I am. You're a genuine inspiration. Hope to see your own blogs here soon.

Many Blessings,
Dana

P.S. Thanks for posting this Chris!

Wow, I was totally unaware of your coma. I still remember when you told me about your boy and how I had to fight back the tears. I can not even imagine how that must feel. The only thing that brings me comfort when I am feeling desperate and overwhelmed is God's warm embrace. Meeting the missionaries at the bus stop really saved my marriage and possibly my life. While my husband and I were separated after having our first natural born child, I would get severe anxiety attacks, something I had never felt before. I really had no one to turn to, my church I went to as a kid did not have time to give me any marriage counseling. I went church shopping after that and have finally found a home. I hope that this article I am sending will bring you comfort, as it is from another parent who suffered the loss of three sons. http://www.lds.org/ldsorg/v/index.jsp?hideNav=1&locale=0&sourceId=db2adbdcc370c010VgnVCM1000004d82620a____&vgnextoid=2354fccf2b7db010VgnVCM1000004d82620aRCRD

Hey Michael,

Yesterday was the 7th anniversary of the loss of our son Derek, and I know it isn't easy brother. Keep the faith and never give up.

You are in my thoughts and prayers,
Dean

Doug Descant @ 9:04 am #

Michael,

You are the true Warrior. Life shoots its arrows at you, you deflect them with a heavy shield and solid footing, and answer back with the powerful joust of your spear.

I cannot imagine what you are going through right now, but from my own experiences; I know that love conquers all. The love that you have for your son and father has ignited a flame inside you. Keep that fire burning brotha.

You are an inspiration to those who are on the verge of giving up. I will always keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

p.s. Are you a fire fighter? It looks as though you are wearing a ff t-shirt on your website. Anyway, I'm a ff in Houston and if you are ever in need of a friendly chat, shoot me an email. Best of luck you and God Bless.

-Doug

Alfredo Zapata @ 9:08 am #

Keep it up man, you have endure a real life chapter and to enter a new dimension of growth in your life that you wouldn't achieve without this trial but, I know that God has incredible plans for you and I recalled this from his book: Jeremiah 29:11

11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Psalm 91

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [a]

2 I will say [b] of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation."

Sincerely,

Alfredo

Zach,

The least that I can say is that you are a Saint. There's a shit load of things we can learn from you, but I think one of your best qualities is your heart. Thanks for the wisdom and inspiration.

Howard Yackee @ 9:27 am #

Hi Michael,

I can relate as I have lost a 3 yeard old boy to spinal meningitis 20 years ago. What it has taught me is to appreciate children, and life far more than I ever would have. Fortunately you had the pleasure of you child for 11 years. That is a true gift. People who never have children can never understand true unbridled love. You do. I have a feeling you will do something great. Like go into mentoring or teach bodybuilding, but it will be positive for mankind. I can tell you the void doesn't go away, but you have to spin it around to how lucky you were to have such love in your life. You are young. You can have other children. I did and am the best parent a child can have because of past experiences life has brought me. You will be fine. Continue to nurture yourself.

Focus on what you want, and you will have it. Best to you

Sincerely.

Howard Yackee

feel free to call me or email me (go to my blog and get my contact info)

I would like to give ya a 30 minute phone session with me to help you with some fitness business advice "on the house" for being the kinda human being you are. I was "featured" in the fitness profits blueprint and it would be my pleasure to help you.

These guys like Chris, Steve and Bedros have helped me so much I can't tell you – trust them completely

One more thing…You will see your son and father again FOR SURE but just like the end of the movie Gladiator, all I can say to you is "NOT YET…NOT YET"

Efrain Guerrero @ 9:44 am #

Michael, this is Efrain. You don't know me but I want you to know that you inspire me, you are a strong positive human with huge potential. I am so sorry for your loss and happy for your attitude towards it, because we all would like to be like you in your situation… but how many would truly be as strong as you? I don't know. God be with you and never forget what you already know… that what dominates your mind expands. You can pray all day long but if you don't believe God has already given you the power in your mind… then it's useless, but you already know that.
peace bro,
-Efrain
And you will rock this year!

Jennifer @ 11:24 am #

Louise Petkov @ 12:50 pm #

Hi Michael, You can stand proud because in the face of the worst thing that can happen to a parent (losing a child), then your fiancee and your father what did you do? Heartbroken and torn you stepped up to support and care for your mother. What a fine example of a son and a father you are! I hope that you and your mother can help one another to heal through the love you both shared for Joshua and your Dad. If there is one person who is gonna make it big it will be you because you have the right heart and the right spirit. I hope that many blessings will soon come your way and that sweet memories will replace the pain of loss you feel. Sending healing energy your way, be well.

Hey Michael,
keep on fighting and never give up. I can't imagine going through what you have been through but I will offer up my own success story to let you know that you can make it through anything.
5 yrs ago I was addicted to drugs, had 2 dollars in my pocket(no I really only had 2 bucks) and moved in with my mom after I lost all my personal belongings. I wanted to just crawl in bed and never wake up. My dad passed away 2 years prior to that, which led me up to this mess. Something inside me awakened after I cleared my head and told me that I was destined for greater things. I truly believe that. I was and am too strong to just give up. I got my shit together kicked my habit, got a job as a trainer and became a productive member of society. Today I have my own personal training studio with 3 trainers working for me and we are looking to branch out into corporate fitness. When I feel down or feel like the world is against me, I come back and read some of the posts on Chris', Hochmans and Bedros' blogs. I get fired up and I move on with my day.
I wish you the best with all your ventures and your life. It always gets worse before it gets better. Like I said before never give up.

Debi Balmert @ 1:40 pm #

Michael,
I agree with so much of what has already been said, I will just add that you and your family are in my prayers.
Sending light, love & energy,
Debi

Callie Durbrow @ 1:57 pm #

Michael, I'm sure that I can't say anything more than all of the great people ahead of me have already said. Keep your head up, your heart strong, and keep your eye on the prize. You are in great hands with Chris and I look forward to hearing great things from you!! This is a great community of people always willing to support and help with positive thoughts and words…stay with it!!

jennifer @ 2:16 pm #

Michael,

If you can over come the loss of a child then you can over come anything. The fact that you are getting your legs over the side of the bed in the morning after that kind of loss means that you are capable of ANYTHING.
I am so sorry for the heartache you have experienced over the past few years but clearly, you are strong & the challenges you will face in growing your businesses are so small in comparison to what you have already over come. I truly think good things are coming your way & I am truly happy for you for that!
Keep up the good work!

Jennifer

Josh Henri @ 4:20 pm #

Hey Mike, I am so very sorry for your loses. I don't think I could hold anything together if my boy cody wasn't here any more. You have a warrior spirit, one that wont let you stay down. I am in a not so great place my self, I will have to put my whole personal training bus on hold for a few months. It sucks and I wish there was another way around it, but in the grand scheme of things family has to come first. You are an awesome example and insperation. I know your son and dad are looking down on you with pride in their hearts for what you are doing. Keep it up mike, you rock! God Bless,
Josh

Michael,
I have never known a more apt saying for when I think of your hardship when I quote, 'fortune favours the brave'. Your story is one of ultimate challenge and one I would hope is only replicated in it's clear and inspiring truth – that with resilience and determination you will get nothing less than the success you deserve. Keep at it, more hurdles will come, but it seems you've got what it takes to face them head on.
Best wishes and God Bless
Pete

(I've got a brother named Michael also) Hello from Seattle. Hey just want to say that you are an inspiration. I know that it must be really tough for you still- I've also lost family, but not gone through everything you have and not sure if I'd be holding up as well under the circumstances. Believe me I know what it is like to wake up and not know what happened. I am sorry to hear about your son, I have a 7 year old now and I would lose my mind…….. You are very strong and blessed that you can carry on. I know your family is proud of you. I am too. Life is not easy and it is not fair, but those of us that are not lucky enough to make it through our entire lives without a scratch are actually the more blessed. When we get to our destinations we will appreciate what we have even more and we will be humbled by our experiences, not boastful and loud with our pride. It takes a lot to get back up when we fall, and I can say that those who stood by us and waited to get back up are the ones to keep. Don't look back on the ones that walked out on you, they were not worthy of your presence. God bless you and your mother; I will keep you two in my prayers.

Tyron @ 11:55 am #

Hey Michael,

I'll be praying for you that the Lord would guide and lead you in the way you should go as He's got prosperity and the good life ALREADY planned for you. If you will learn to trust and rely on Him to take care of you and your family, that will give Him the right to work in your life and work things out for your good.

One thing I would suggest is DO what Steve Hochman, Chris McCombs, and Bedros Keuilian teach on how to run a fitness boot camp. It's simple stuff that's either no cost or little cost. Start with the Boot Camp Dominator Series on KickBackLife.com (search for it on the site).

If you have any questions or want to chat email at MakersBody@gmail.com or call me at 604.626.2342.

Michael,

My prayers go out to you and your family. Sometimes tragedy happens in life and we don't know why. Keep trusting that God has a plan for you in this world. I am sure your business is going to be a tremendous success. It's those of us that have overcome our tragedies and chose to rise above the pain, that really do amazing things in this life!
