Fitness Trainer's KILLER Video Blog Post

A Fitness Marketing Post by Chris McCombs

Hey there, hope you're awesome…

Blogging is one of my favorite things in he whole world… and is by far one of my biggest marketing strategies… HOWEVER… if most of your blog posts don't have personality and aren't very fun, then they're not gonna do a whole for your business… but if you can…

  • Add value to your visitors life
  • Entertain them
  • Educate them
  • Bond with them
  • Get them to laugh
  • Tell them interesting stories
  • Make them feel good

Then you'll be on the right track

Now, not ALL of your blog posts need ALL of these elements, but they should be a part of your overall blogging strategy

I can't say enough about keeping your posts fun… people want an escape from their problems… from the daily grind… from the boredom in which most people exist… and your blog should be a regular 5 minute escape for them, a third home online ( like Starbucks is a third home or third PLACE offline )

Being too professional or teaching text book style is a HUGE mistake when it comes to blogging

For a lot of trainers, video is one the best ways to keep things fun, especially if you don't enjoy writing as much as I do, which most people don't

My good friend Zach Even-Esh makes his video posts fun… and his followers LOVE him for it

Sam Bakhtiar is another dude who keeps his blogs posts super fun… check out this video Sam made for his blog recently when he found out one of his clients / workout partners missed a workout and polished off a whole box of sugar cereal… now THIS a great example of how a local based fitness business owner making his blog posts fun

You can check out Sams blog at FitnessGuruSam.com

Leave a comment below letting Sam know how you like this video posts, and maybe some ideas of your own or some fun blog posts or video posts you've done in the past…

NOt only is this video entertaining to watch for your current viewers, but also a great way to get potential prospects to follow your blog that have never followed you before. This is a great way to create local buzz in your community and leads. Thanks for the video. Its a great example how to create a video blog.

Thats wicked funny. Very catchy. You get alot information across. He mention his seminar.

It IS kinda strange how you can really toe the line as a fitness professional. Since I started "allowing" my clients to be my Facebook friends, I've gotten MORE business and sales. You don't see that in many industries.

Casey @ 9:52 am

That was great. I always love a good laugh.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and for taking the time to watch it. The point is to have fun with your clients and really start doing stuff out of the box.

I got the idea from "Cheaters" the show.

I really owe it all to Big Chris as he really took me under his wing and taught me blogging.
