Hey Chris , anything that gives a buy in from the client is great for retention .
Something I think that also works really well (and perhaps a few trainers out there already do this) , is that if you are into naming parts of your workouts , that once your clients are used to your style and what exercises fit into your camps , is that they get to "Name" the workout . what better form of ownership , hey we all like things named in our honour .

Keep Rockin out the great posts

Dude that is very cool because it gives the clients a way to feel needed and like Craig said a chance to be a leader and more then anything gives them a role.

Something i do similar is during a break i tell them to each pick a movement that they want and they each take a turn calling out the movement they selected and the whole group does the movement for 30 seconds and on until each person gets a turn.

That way by the end of the circuit they are roasted but laughing and i joke with them not to blame me since they picked movements.

I forgot to mention that Craig is a funny dude. Maybe not on video, but the for those that have not met him yet, the dude has some type of humor to him.

You might not laugh at first because your not sure what to make of his replys, but then you catch on to him and you just end up laughing at the stuff he says.

He is a funny f*#kr

This may good for workout out with sports teams, but my bootcamp instructors OWN the workouts and people have NO energy to think!

The other really cool and smart business thing that Craig has going on is his Turbulence Training podcast on iTunes. You should check it out.

You know, the ones, that suck the life out of the energy… (just read through them until your energy bottoms out). If you are too good for your own good, make your own damn blog!
