What's Your Philosophy?
A Fitness Business and Mindset Post by Chris McCombs
Hey there… hope you're having a kick ass day… or night depending on when you're reading this…
I'm curious, if you could define your life and/or business philosophies in one single sentence or statement or paragraph…. what would it be?
Here's mine…
Life Philosophy:
Let go, trust God, be grateful, live in the moment, help others, put family first and blaze your own trail
Business Philosophy:
Do what you love, work for yourself, focus what you want, feel good about getting it, take massive action, help others and create your business around your ideal life instead of your life around your business.
Knowing your philosophies for life and business ( and putting them into practice) is one of the most important things you can do.
Would love to hear your philosophies for life and business in the comment section below…

I love your philosophies and don't know if I can word them any better!
Mine would be -
Life Philosophy:
Give life all that you've got, trust God, have faith, be grateful, be giving, put others before yourself, don't waste your life on negative energy, have no regrets and spend your time wisely
Business Philosophy:
Surround yourself with people who will grow you, make sure every day you do some things that make you smile and laugh, find what gets a fire in your spirit and an excitement in your belly and do it with passion! Help others, be free, enjoy every day
Loving your site Chris… my personal and business philosophies are: "Good Enough, Isn't"
Too many people give half-a**ed efforts in all avenues of their life and seem to be fine with mediocrity. I try to bring my best to the table each and every day - and expect those around me to do the same.
Life - what lies before you and what lies behind you are small matter compared to what lies WITHIN you
Business - "build it…and they will come"
Live life to its fullest and take ACTION on all the things you fear, make yourself look stupid and like a fool for getting out of your comfort zone and the energy will hit you back with positive ones for a lifetime.
Thats what Im practising now and I feel 10x mega awesome happy, now I just need to launch my bootcamp and Quit the job as a fitness coach here.
One step at a time.
Ok Chris,
Lately my philosophy has changed a bit. Well at least for the year 2010 that is. I am trying to experiment a bit here and challenge my reality and perceptions and see how it will bring change.
I have decided to put money a top my most important priorities for the new year.
I have taken on the attitude of "GET RICH OR DIE TRYING". No, it doesnt mean that I love money or am willing to kill myself for it but rather to challenge myself to kick major ass this new year and set myself up to make the most money I have ever have and yes I have a goal number in mind.
And the reason is because of what the money would allow me to do, like help my family and friends, give away to people that could use it regardless of what they want it for as long as it brings them joy and a smile. And to allow me to do more of the things I want to do that would help people.
My life philosophy has changed to live from here on out with no regrets and enjoy everything life has to offer because in the end, its the experiences we have been through that we are left with.
Business -: I had a boss that took me to Harrods and Hamleys in London he then took me to other stores where the same stuff was cheaper but the service was not as good and there was no Exeperence. His words still ring in my ideas today "never compete on price Compete on Quality… Offer a quality product/service and Quality price and your business will stand the test of time"
Personal-:treat others like you would like to be treated .
"Be the person that lights up a room when he walks into it not when he walks out "
And my favorite philsophy quote is"our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising everytime we fall" Confucius
Dude, your life philosophy is exactly the same as mine.
Love it.
John
Hey Chris
As always, you go about changing the common perception of a personal trainer and PT business owner. Your philosophy is obviously having a great flow-on effect through the rest of the industry.
For me it's simple:
Life is about moving with determination towards what matters most.
My business philosophy is a little more specific: give alot before you ask for anything in return, self-belief overcomes fear, laugh at yourself more than others laugh at you, and finally if you want something simply work your arse off until you get it. Simple.
Keep up the great work.
Life Philosophy:
Always keep evolving and improving, take each moment in like it's your last, be your own person, do something that makes the world a better place, cherish your loved ones, you are only limited by your own imagination
Business philosophy:
Use your business as the vehicle for your life, keep growing, overcome all fears, don't give a shit about critcism, focus on your goals, break through fears
Life Philosophy:
Share the awesome love and saving power of Jesus either directly through how I live or indirectly through my support of others and by doing so give as many people as I can an opportunity to receive or reject Him, who loves them with an undying love.
Business philosophy:
Run my business with absolute integrity no matter if it causes me hurt financially or physically. Do what's right because it's right then do it right.
Life Philosophy:
You can't pack for death.
In life, you only have one shot to get it right, so don't screw it up.
Business Philosophy:
Surround yourself with people who know more than you.
Surround yourself with people who care about what they do.
Never make business the master of your world. You are. Family and friends make it up.
@Derek Shore…i pretty much agree with what your business philosophy is but as far as life philosophy is concerned you get as many chances in life as you want my friend this all hoopla about "one shot" and "one opportunity" is all made up by us.
what will happen if someone does screw it up? No one's going to come and stop you physically from having another go mate.
Sorry if i sound rude.
Peace
Harman - You're not rude. You have an opinion, and I totally respect it. All the best in 2010 man.
