Crazy Things That Happened During My Personal Training Sessions

Haha thats some funny stories Chris. Its always hard to tell women in classes when something is going wrong with an outfit. Luckily, my classes are usually always women, so I dont have to worry about a bunch of dudes staring at a girls "area" as you put it. Haha.

LOL I remember you asked me to tell that girl about her boob hangin out and I said No Dice- Your her trainer, that's your problem:) Super Funny.

Yeah I figured sisters would look out for eachother, but you left her hanging ( literally )

Looking back I think she must have been high or something to let that hang out there for so long… you think she would have felt a draft or something

I think a lot of my male clients stuck around so long cuz of all the girls

At that time Next Level Fitness truly was like a mix between crossfit and a night club for people to get in a workout at after work

I've never seen anything like it, me and Steve and a few other trainers like Jaiya literally packed the place with figure model type females, it made the place a major hit

I think it did intimidate a few really out-of-shape women, that's ok… there was a Curves right down the street that would welcome them with open arms

Any dude who walked into Next Level Fitness was like "Where do I sign up?"

I'm reading a book right now about a local Orange County gangster who used to run with a few people I knew when I was a twenty something pot trafficker… when pot was actually illegal in Cali

( the book is called Breakshot by the way… KILLER true crime story )

The dude who wrote the book ( Kenji Gallo ) used to stock his night club with local strippers, he'd trade them cocaine to hang out in his nightclub and flirt with guys

A slightly more gangster and evil version of what Next Level Fitness used to be like… but the same basic concept… people are motivated by a few human emotions and the desire for sex is BY FAY one of the biggest

Sex sells, hell.. it's why most people get into shape in the first place… VERY FEW people under 45 do it for "general health reasons"

Next Level Fitness, being what it was, lead itself to all kinds of crazy stuff and was comedy all the time, just like Jaiya talked about in his recent post

And what's cool is that people trained SUPER hard there, the intensity was insane, NO ONE wanted to be seen slacking

Sex, humor, good hard group training workouts… the place was so friggin fun it made a typical gym look and sound like a public library

Yeah I remember that post you did where you mentioned Steve packed his classes with hot girls to retain guys. Guys are idiots. But those guys worked out twice as hard Im sure.

They wanted to get in shape to begin with, then they probably wanted to impress all the girls. Great strategy!

Ha Funny story,

I have had a girl who turned up for a fitness assessment one time.

I explained to her the protocol of what i was about to do in regards to girth measurements etc.

I asked her to take her jumper off (expecting something underneath), I had turned around to get the tape measure and when i turned back around, there she was completely topless!!!

Obviously bras or singlets don' exist in her wardrobe. What was even funnier, she didn't even bat an eyelid and told me to just take the damn measurement….

All I can say is thank god she was a model….

Too many stories.. Actually, my very first mentor told me, jokingly of course, "You know when you are a successful trainer when you can stop being a trainer, blackmail all your clients and make 10x more money than when you were working."

But here's a quick one…

I had a Mom Group that worked out at 9:00… dropped the kids off and came into the gym.. about 4 of them in a ritzy area.. I was doing group personal training…

And a new member signed up and insisted he could only do 9 am..

No biggie…

Turns out he was a charter member of a local biker gang, The Barbarians. So I have all these mom's in caravans…big ole Harley Outside… and then 4 high society, stay at home mom's, and a 6'2, sleeved tattoed, tank top, chain keychain, biker dude all working out together…

Oddly, it turned out to be a great time for all of them!

Had a female client once who had not told her husband that she had hired a trainer (he was the jealous type)…She trained with me at night three times per week and he must have gotten suspicious because one night he followed her to the office building where my studio is located. Roughly 10 min into the session he kicks the door open and charges at me. Apparently he was unaware that I'm trained Muay Thai kickboxer. So not only did he get his ass whooped. He also got arrested for assault and his wife divorced him. This is why it doesn't pay to be jealous! How's that for a crazy story?

I have a story for you it sounds similar to your story. I was training a middle aged female client, cool chick in a big box gym.

I had her in the front corner of the gym near the dumb bells and mirrors during prime time, so the gym was kickin.

Well there was a super hot blonde with a huge rack working out next to us and she grabbed a barbell put it on her back and began to squat.

This girl is the HOTT blonde who knows she's hot and shows everything anyway, well she had a little tight sports bra on and when she went down for the squat she came up and her nipples was out!!!

WoW!! I couldn't help but stare and she kept going like this was normal… Like this is how we work out!!

Well I am trying to be professional because I have this middle aged woman here I'm trainin so I didn't want to look like an ass and keep lookin so I told my client

"alright our next exercise is over here and I pointed to the other side of the gym" Well we started walking that way and my client said

"I guess if I payed that much for them I'd want to show 'em off too" I LMAO… Man its fun to relive those experiences.

Awesome stuff - I really like this topic.

I think we've all had times where we trained girl clients that got naked, or talked about getting naked.

It's always funny when a chick farts during an exercise. That's happened plenty.

I also used to train this in-home client, female, who NEVER wore panties and always wore short shorts. Hmmm.

I also had this one client that would drive me nuts. She'd just stop in the middle of a set because she didn't want to work and she'd wine like a child. She even walked out crying a few times. I eventually had to fire her.

Then, I've got to one up Scott's fitness assessment story. I had a HOT russian chick do the same thing but with her pants when I need to get a thigh skinfold!

Finally, I never got in a fight, but have been asked to do some "extra private training" if you get my drift.

My favorite story of all time is this though:
I'm a relatively new trainer doing a consult on an older lady. She's digging everything I'm saying. She wants to start with just 3 months. So, I say, "OK. It's 828 per month." At the time, I was with a club that didn't do EFT (stone ages) so I tell her we take post dated checks and keep them in our safe and then process them on the billing date (not sure that's legal but I digress). She says great and whips out her check book and proceeds to write me 3 checks for $8.28!!!!! AWKWARD

Ha. Chris. Great Idea. Personal Trainers have one of the best jobs in my opinion.

I was training this one guy who showed me a tattoo he got of his beautiful wife.

2 Weeks latter, he calls me and cancels his session because he said that they got divorced!!

I also had this older lady practically give me a lap dance when she asked me to show her a machine. (Its really hard to act normal after this). lol
