Boot Camp Marketing Tips For Trainers

A Boot Camp Marketing Post By Chris McCombs

Hey there, hope you’re doin’ great… I got some great tips on building your fitness training business for you today.

This last weekend I was down by the beach at the Fitness Info Mastermind with good friends Bedros Keuilian, Steve Hochman, Craig Ballantyne, Josh Carter, Seven-Figure Sam, Rob King and a whole bunch of other way cool fitness info marketers.

And then Saturday night we had a big party for Bedros’s B-day ( That’s me and Fit Body Boot Camp owner Irma at the party in the picture on the right )

It was a great time

Here’s a few quick things before I give you some cool tips on marketing your boot camps and group training workouts.

One…

Operation Get F*cking Ripped is in full effect here.

I just got back from doin’ box squats, sumo deadlifts and good mornings, eating a post workout meal and taking a one hour nap.

Right now, while I write this post, I’m macking down on some steak and brown rice, and then gonna hit 40 minutes of cardio and a two hour deep tissue massage… good times.

Hired nutrition coach Shelby Starnes 5 weeks ago and down 25 pounds in five weeks, while getting stronger and without feeling hungry ( I don’t do hunger well)

So, like I said, Operation Get F*cking Ripped is in full effect

Also, my friend Chris Bell made a great documentary called ‘Bigger Stronger Faster’ that will be premiering on Showtime this week, if you haven;t seen it check it out, it’s awesome.

Chris is a great guy and has been helping me and Bedros with our Documentary about internet marketing called Add to Cart which will be out soon

The movie came out in theaters about two years ago, but is premiering on Showtime this week ( Thursday night)

Ok, now, onto to some pretty cool boot camp marketing tips to help you build your boot camps ( or your group training business)

1. My buddy Bedros is always talking about trainers need multiple poles in the water, here’s a quick list he just put on his blog

== Offline Marketing ==

Human billboards
Lead boxes
Body fat table
Direct mail
Print ads
Charity drives
Free Saturday camps
Bring a friend week
21 day rapid fat loss promo
6 week transformation programs
Small group seminars
Grocery store tours
Client referral systems
Plastic gift cards
Past client reactivation system

== Online Marketing ==

Facebook ads
Craigs list posts
Deal of the day sites promotions (these have given many Fit Body Boot Camp owners 250 or more clients in a single day)
Search Engine Optimization
Direct response websites
Squeeze pages
Email marketing
Pay per click ads
Endorsed email mailing by local businesses

The point here is to not just rely on one or two sources of clients, the more sources the more clients, and the more clients the more money

Got it?

Ok, cool…

2. Now, here’s a strategy from Steve Hochman to get a whole bunch of new clients fast, I did this personally years ago and went from two clients to making six-figures in a matter of just a few month

3. And here’s a quick tip from Boot Camp trainer David Eagleton

I drove around and grabbed every vinyl sign I could find and tossed it in my trunk. I got about 20 signs and then went to Home Depot and bought white paint and black decal lettering.

I got home and put 2 coats of paint on every sign. Then I lettered word for word ” Win a personal Trainer. Text your goals to 720-XXX-XXXX”.

And that’s it…

You see, I think people don’t like to be given anything free anymore. They think it’s a scam or they will get ripped off but they LOVE to win lol.

Then I placed them at every major intersection Friday night (after the city dept gets off work for the weekend). And left them up til Sunday night.

During the weekend my phone vibrated out of my pocket. I would get over 50 leads in a weekend!

I would then go home at the end of the day and load every single phone number and their goal into an Excel spreadsheet and wait a couple days to call them personally (to build the excitement and not sound desperate).

Then I would call and say. “Congratulations you won a free month of boot camp with Denver’s top personal trainer. Can I put you down for mornings or evenings?”

I flipped 9 out of 10 into EFT for ongoing boot camp after their first month!

And lastly, for a short time the doors are open on the most incredible Boot Camp “Business in a Box” available anywhere.

It’s called Fit Body Boot Camp, and was created by my good friends Steve Hochman and Bedros Keuilian, who’ve literally done all the heavy lifting for you

Here’s 12 reasons I personally think you can’t go wrong with this program…

1. One-on-one training is one of the quickest way to guarantee long hours and burnout for mediocre pay. Boot camps are one of the best ways to earn a six-figure income for part time hours

2. Fit Body Boot Camp literally walks you by the hand through the entire process of taking your own boot camp to the six-figure level

3. They give all the systems, contracts, forms, and advertisements you’ll need…  it’s all done FOR YOU

4 . They’ll help you automate your business and delegate out all the training, so you don’t end up 60 years still doing all the training yourself trading hours for dollars

5. They will spend advertising money FOR YOU on Facebook – to help you get leads

6. You’ll benefit from the world wide branding they’re doing, Fit Body Boot Camp is becoming the trusted authority all over the globe when it comes to boot camp training.

7. You’ll get exclusive access to a members only forum so you can have personal and private access to other six-figure boot camp owners who will help walk you through EXACTLY what’s working for them in the trenches RIGHT NOW in their boot camps

8. Since only one trainer will be accepted in each area, you can completely lock out your competition

9. They’ll help you get an indoor location to run your camps.

10. Steve and Bedros, two of the worlds most sought after Fitness Business Guru’s will PERSONALLY COACH YOU as you grow your six figure boot camps

11. They actually GIVE YOU your own web page on the first page of Google that is PROVEN to get clients from the internet on an
automated basis

12. You can try the program RISK FREE, if it’s not for you, they’ll simply give you all your money back no hassles and no hard feelings

So as you can see, trying out this program is a no-brainer for any one serious about making a good living in the fitness industry

Here’s where you can try it out while it’s still open…

  1. How much is the fine if a city dept finds you, anyone know?

Probably not nearly the amount you make on PT I am guessing?

  2. irma says:

OMG, This is F#$%&* awesome! Great OUT OF THE BOX marketing, tips like always. KILLER POST!!

  3. Chris McCombs says:

Robert, if referring to putting up the signs David was talking about, who knows, I'm sure it varies from city to city, I doubt it's much, a few years state prison time at most

Just joking… sometimes it's easier to ask for forgiveness instead of permission

However, if you get a $311,424.62 fine, don't blame me…. use at your own risk

Please note: this is NOT a Fit Body Boot Camp tactic, just something working well for David

  4. Thx Chris. Always over-delivering, lol – funny too.

Is David a fan of doing it himself because it is cheaper or didn't want to pay the sign companies monies for lawn signs?

Hard plastic as opposed to the plastic bag plastic?

    Heck, I will try it.

  5. These are awesome tips Chris. Always a boost reading your posts. Well done.
