Hey there, hope you’re doin’ great… in this post I wanna share with you what I feel are a few of the biggest keys to succeeding in your fitness business… and it’s not what you think it’s gonna be…
I just rolled back into town and my little daughter Abber Dabbers A.K.A. Abalicious got pretty sick at the baby sitters while me and the wife were away… that’s her over on the right looking like pure misery

She’s actually handling it better than I usually do, my wife says I’m a big baby whenever I get a “man cold” … and I can’t disagree
Anyhow… check this out…
I just spent the weekend at the Hard Rock in Vegas with a few of the best marketing minds in the world… guys who do eight figures a year and help some of the biggest businesses in the world with their marketing.
The band ‘Wide Spread Panic’ was playing, they’re a Grateful Dead type band, and the place was packed with dreadlocked hippies frying their asses off on mushrooms and LSD… good times.
It’s been a long time since I’ve consumed those kinda goodies… brought back a lot of memories… some good…. and well… some just downright weird.
The weekend was part business and part vacation… which usually how I like to run things anyway.
Now I don’t gamble… cuz I always seem to lose, but between masterminding and a little private consulting I’m doin’ with the one of the marketers there I’m in for about over $67,000.00…. now some people would say I’m crazy for spending that kind of money on just a few days of masterminding and consulting, but I don’t look at it like that.
It’s not like throwing down money at the craps table where sometimes you win and sometimes you just flat out lose
You see…
For one, every single time I’ve invested in info-products and big ticket masterminds and coaching I’ve gotten my money back somewhere between 10 and 100 times over, usually closer to the latter. There are always people out there who’ve done what we wanna do, and they can show us the shortcuts and save us years of frustrations and hundreds of thousands of dollars by giving us the map to EXACTLY how they did it. And the smarter ones of us are MORE than happy to pay for those maps.
So in reality, $67,000.00 is a drop in the bucket compared to what it’ll bring me back in terms of ROI.
In fact, I attribute much of my success today to the actions I’ve taken on what I’ve learned in the programs I’ve invested in. I simply would not be where I am today had I not made it a habit to devour books and info-courses and join masterminds, workshops and coaching programs with people who are at the level I want to be in terms of finances and lifestyle.
Another reason I pay for stuff like this is the fact that I think there’s some sort of Karmic element to just about everything, and since I sell a few ticket programs myself, I damn well better invest in big ticket educational programs… otherwise I guarantee I’d be making way less sales of my higher end programs than I do.
But because I DO INVEST IN BIG TICKET PROGRAMS, whenever I release one of my own, they sell out almost immediately… and I attribute at least a part of this to the big ticket investments I make in others programs.
Investing money in the right things ALWAYS helps you make more money ( provided you apply what you learn), and the opposite is true as well, hoard money and be stingy with it, and you’ll have a hard time becoming successful.
That’s why I pretty much NEVER ask for refunds on anything, I believe in refund karma, and fortunately my own refund rates on products is substantially lower than industry average.
Test this one for yourself… if you know any fellow trainers who regularly ask for refunds on things, just look at their own business, I guarantee they’ll be the trainers who have the most clients breaking contracts, asking for refunds, flaking out and being a general overall pain in the ass.
What we put out comes back to us… whether you believe it or not.
Put out bad vibes, bad services and a poverty mentality… and guess what?
You’ll end up broke as a trailer park crackhead who smoked all his food stamps.
Put out good stuff, killer products and services, think good thoughts, help others get what they want in life, invest in yourself and you’ll be kickin’ a ton of ass in the financial department.
How we think and act creates everything… I’m a HUGE fan of tried and true direct response marketing… but if you worry about money, hoard it, rip people off or don’t focus on helping others, all the best direct response in the world can’t save you.

On top of the diagram is what goes in your brain… which if you want to be successful should be…
1. Information to help learn what to do to get from where you are now to where you want to be in as short of a distance as possible… like going through info-products, books, coaching programs, workshops and masterminds
2. Positive thoughts, including affirmations and/or visualizations and focusing on your goals as if they’ve already come true.
Now under that cool and highly detailed picture of you with the giant brain in all your greatness is the actions you take
These actions should be in the direction of your goals… ALWAYS including helping others get what they want in life….. contributing to good causes… doing all the good business building stuff and being cool and encouraging to others.
Do this stuff and YOU WILL SUCCEED
DON’T DO IT AND YOU WILL FAIL
The way you treat the world and others will ALWAYS come back to you
So be conscious of your own refund karma and contract karma… if you want people to break agreements with you, then make sure you break agreements with others, and trust me, you’ll have people backing out of YOUR agreements left and right… if you want your clients to ask for refunds, easy, ask for refunds yourself.
Even little stuff counts like how much you tip.
Wanna be broke? … be a stingy tipper… wanna be successful? … tip generously. Now if you’re having money problems this might seem counter-intuitive, but it’s the ones with the money problems who need to take on these kinds of habits the most.
DO NOT wait until you’re successful to take on successful habits, do it now… the habits and actions come BEFORE the money… NOT the other way around.
Help other people first, and THEN the money will follow
I built my entire training business by taking on people for free at first, and I built my entire info-business by blogging for months and months giving away all my best strategies before I made even one dime teaching this stuff.
And today, both businesses are extremely successful… cuz I focused on helping others in life get what they want in life, and the money followed in sums that to most people would seem inconceivable.
Invest in yourself and programs that help you get to where you want to go, especially if you want people to invest in YOUR training and your programs to help them get to where they want to go… practice what you preach
Buy yourself nice things that make you feel successful.
Be as cool as you can to others and help them get what they want in life.
Understand that there’s more than enough money to go around, it’s right there waiting for … just provide enough value to the world and it will flow your way

Person A has something that is of EXTREME Value to Person B and Person B is willing to pay good money to Person A for it
Just be Person A and do this on a large enough scale and your own personal economy will ALWAYS be good, no matter those around you are saying about the national or global economy

Do this simple stuff and throw in some solid direct response marketing like I teach on this blog and you got it made.
You might think this was all leading up to some pitch for my coaching or something, well I hate to let you down, but the fact is I’m not taking on any more coaching clients at this time… but there’s lots of other good coaches and mentors out there.
I’m at capacity right now and taking on anymore would cut into the lifestyle I like to lead… so, since I know after writing this blog post, my support team will probably get a bunch of emails asking where I offer my coaching and how to get on board, and if you’re one of the ones who was gonna mail in I want to sincerely thank you for your interest, but it’s just not something I’m offering anymore at this point in time.
