Now before you dig into the meat of this business building post, I want you to look at this real quick… in fact, if you just spend just one hour a day on this, I GUARANTEE you your business will grow substantially… and it’s super simple…

It’s something I put together to help my private coaching clients get results… i was influenced by Frank Kern and Robert Cialdini… actually pretty much got the whole damn thing by fusing what I learned from each of them… this is “high-level” yet “easy to understand” stuff

Wanna make more money in your training business?

Simple… break the entire thing down like this…

1. Get Quality Leads ( Online, Offline, Free, Paid )

2. Get Them to Give You Money ( Convert them into paying clients and customers )

3. Add Much Value to Their Lives as Possible WHILE Getting Them To Exchange a Whole Bunch of Their Money for That Value

And make sure at every step you are massaging in as many of Robert Cialdini’s ‘6 Weapons of Influence‘ as possible. ( In fact I’m doin’ most of them right now… full disclosure here.)

Assuming you’re fitness program and skills at getting people into shape are BAD ASS… and you like helping people… and you got the head stuff right when it comes to money… you will kill it... if that’s the case, just plug in these simple funnels into your business… and uh… I think you’ll be surprised at just how fast your business can grow when you do this … you might just end up with helluva business and all kinds of free-time to what you want .. like sped time building multiple-sources of what I call “passion income”, hobbies, working out, or just taking it easy and hanging with friends and family…

Zach turned a simple website and .the back of his dad’s warehouse into a $20K a month group training business that requires hardly anytime from Zach at all due to how he has figured out how pretty much outsource EVERYTHING .. the dude is a NINJA when it comes to marketing a local training business on the interwebs… now that’s not Zach below, he’s a dude, but this site is part if his “24/7 Client Getting Funnel” … Zach owns one of those “Lotsa Profit, Little Work” Dream Businesses..

And … The Business-Bad Ass Armenian Homie Sako Yakinian …Went from nothing to a six-figure boot camp in a matter of months… Sako has multiple boot camp locations with multiple trainers working for him, as well as a personal training business, and the dude’s groups are always slammed busy with happy clients…

To say the crew is straight up bad-ass would be a GIANT understatement… hell I don’t need to tell you that though.

We”ll be meeting throughout the year someplace fun … most likely Vegas and Southern California …  to help make each others businesses as successful as possible…. if you’re familiar the late great Napoleon Hill’s philosophy on masterminding, you probably have no doubt they can be a POWERFUL tool for change

AND they can be a blast.

The ultimate mix of business, friendship and pleasure… when done right at least.

It’s for fitness entrepreneurs who own either a fitness studio, training business, boot camp, gym, fitness blog, fitness info-biz or do fitness affiliate marketing.

A few of the big requirements are …

You must work for YOURSELF in the FITNESS INDUSTRY

You MUST put people before profits.. and you’re training programs MUST work… otherwise all the marketing in the world can’t help you if your training system sucks

You must have a vision and purpose beyond yourself... seriously, you can be the cockiest SOB around as long as your a good person and your goal is focused on helping people and hopefully even some kind of positive change in the world … how cool would that be ?

You must currently earn a $100K in Minimal Annual Business Revenue .. OR… if you’re close to making it.. like within $10K or $20K … and you REALLY want in the group, then just fill out the application, and use the art of the written word to influence me into letting you join .. fair enough? Remember though, a higher vision and purpose is must … I would rather work with someone cool who makes $79K a year then some knucklehead who makes $250K if the guy’s a dick .. I have a strict no dick policy in this group… no flakes, assholes, bullies or meanies either… just so were straight = )

*Now, if you make between say $50K and $100K a year and you still want in, email my support and if there’s enough of a need for it I’ll start a second group.

Also…

You must be a value adder.

AND…

You gotta be a good, ethical and cool person… you just gots to!!!  … yes… I said “gots to”

Ok, so now I also wanna tell you about a little internal struggle I’ve been goin’ through and what I’m doin’ about it…

I’m one of those guys who uses dark times and bad experiences to help evolve me as a man and an entrepreneur.

You see…

I love fitness.

And…

I love marketing.

I LOVE the marketing of fitness... getting the right information into the right hands to help add value to the world and make positive change… stuff TOTALLY pumps me up.

But about a year or two ago I saw my good bud Clay Collins make an observation, in one of the social media platforms, that most old marketers look WAY older than they are … and that it’s a lifetime of lies and hype causing them to age as such a rapid pace.

Now this stuck with me… why?

Because it’s true.

Many marketers look so much older than they are... by like YEARS… at least that’s true of hardcore direct response guys… which is my favorite style of marketing, and the easiest to measure and predictably create a high ROI … at least as far as I’m aware of.

And don’t get me wrong, some of my favorite people in the world are direct response marketers… but there’s a lot of “Hype Artists” as well.. A LOT of them.

On the other side…

While I do enjoy social media… I find that MOST Social Media Guru’s are broke… and the thing they sell is “Make Money with Social Media” Courses that don’t really work… except to teach people to sell more “Make Money with Social Media” Courses

And what’s funny is it seems the two schools of thought can’t stand eachother.

For me, I think the answer lies somewhere in the middle… a balance between ethical direct response, and effective tribal branding and viral marketing via social media.

One guy I think does it pretty well with it is Brian Clark at CopyBlogger.com

People are sick of hype.

They’re sick of being scammed and manipulated… which has been goin’ on in marketing since it first existed.

Social media is the platform where the truth prevails… it’s a great place to nurture your tribe and community… it’s free.. it’s fun… and when done properly, it can be HIGHLY effective.

For example, I get a TON of business from Facebook as well as a fat stack of social proof, tribal branding and viral sharing.

So here’s where I’m goin’ with all this…

I’ve been mediating quite a bit on where I’m taking direction of things and for me it has to be about …

- Fun

- Helping People

- Lifestyle

- Doin’ What I’m Passionate About

- Being Cool ( meaning a good person )

- Dealing Only With “Value Adders”… NO Manipulative, Value-Sucking People

- Letting my audience dictate my content ( for the most part )

And if it doesn’t meet those criteria I really don’t want anything to do with it

Lately I had some personal struggles ( who hasn’t at some time or other ) and I’ve come out a better husband, father, man, blogger and  entrepreneur for it

I was just totally dis-heartened by some things I’ve seen goin’ on in the industry, but I’ve started to turn things around.. at least a little… and all this has forced me to take a long hard look at what my own values are… I mean really had to stare myself deep in the eyes.

Ok, now here’s the weird part…

It SEEMS something in me stopped caring about trivial things like what people think ( for the most the part)

And after playing around with this shift in my consciousness I’ve determined it’s more like this…

I Care SO MUCH About What’s Important and What’s Right… That I Simply DO NOT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE – ( Andy Jenkins thanks for helping point this out in me bud… when I was starting to think that I really “did not give a Sh*t” … I just don’t give a sh*t about things that aren’t important anymore )

That’s the bottom line.

In the near future I have a post coming out called The Code ( of Cool ) … and it’s my personal take on how business should be done … keeping everything in the Win/Win/Win

Win for me

And win for your clients and customers.

Ya know, after seeing all these old curmudgeony marketers… I’ve decided I’d rather be more of an artist.

A “word artist” … hell if I get enough demand for it I’ll teach it to you too.. remember, I failed English but make a good living slapping words up on a screen that help get people what they want in life.

I think I’d rather be like an artist who dabbles in marketing, even if it makes me way less… family, freedom and fun trump money anyway.

Every Business Owner Should Have This Skill and When Done Correctly It’s a HIGHER PAID SKILL Than Being a Surgeon

Those old die hard direct response marketers … who live and die by “Return on Investment” .. are so miserable and they wear it… … how empty would that be?

I’ll take a fraction of the money to be able to own a business that is fun, ethical, easy-to-run and helps a TON of people.

I truly think marketing can change the world, but most marketers are doin’ it wrong…

They’re putting profits before people … now it doesn’t have to be this way, in  fact the other way… the way of focusing on people… is soooo much more full-filling.. and serves our industry, community and world SO much better.
