Hey there, I hope you’re doin’ great…this post took me the better part of a day, not like an 8 hour day, or a 12 hour day… but I’ve been working on this post for about 24 HOURS STRAIGHT….
I want you to have the most bad ass blueprint to building a 7 Figure or high 6 figure fitness training empire that I can give you
Once I started writing I got so passionate about this post, my OCD kicked with the throttle wide open
After having a great weekend ( where I usually turn the phone off and don’t check incoming digital communication for long periods of time) … and then after the weekend I handled some week priority stuff, ended up still a little behind on calls/texts/emails
THEN… before addressing my my multiple launches, emails, texts and tons of other stuff… I decided to jump in and give a few hours of the best, I have, in the form of a blog post…
My Goal: Write a Blog Post That Will Help More Trainers In a Positive Way Than Any Other Post or Information Product I’ve Ever Put Out and Have More of a Positive Impact on The Fitness Community Than Any Other Content I’ve Provided… Plus I’ll Make Some Nice Coin Pluggin’ A Few Goodies Along The Way…
However, three hours in I realized this will no small task..so MY OCD kicked in ( my OCD being one of the main factors for my success, but also being a major dysfunction… but if you have it, I say let’s put the fun back into dysfunction and rock this mutha )
I haven’t checked my emails or phone for calls, voice messages or texts or Facebook stuff in longer than normal… and this I can guarantee you has build up to a mountain of open loops in the world of digital communication, that to be honest, accidental “mass delete” seems like the only sane way out
And on top of all that I’m moving into a new office with my Big Homie 6’3″ 300lb. MMA Fighter Will Robertson who is one of the meanest looking dudes I know but also the nicest.. I guarantee there’s texts’ waiting on that damned iphone from him
Plus since I have multiple launches coming out this month… on top, the New KBL with 7-Figure Sam, there’s a giant project with Emile J ( doors about to open on that one, I guarantee there’s 14 texts from Emile waiting for me once I turn my phone on… wonder where I disappeared to for the day.).
I also have product launches coming out right now with Corey Beasley, Zach Hunt, Big 6’8″ 330lb Krav Maga master Larry Clay, Zach Hunt and Luka Hocevar… plus I can think of about 14 others I’m supposed to chat with in the next day or so
These launches take a ton of time, and is where I make my money, but I just REALLY wanted you to have this content and my OCD knows I get paid for DONE… and that’s it
Disappearing for 24 hours into the lonely work of putting together a monster post like this makes me put a relentless amount of pressure on myself to get it done… because I ONLY get paid for done… no half done, not gave it a shot, not I’m working on it, or getting around to it….
But Getting it Done
And since no one else is gonna put the pressure on me to do it, I go about it with sort of a gun-to-the-head approach… meaning if this doesn’t get done today… I’m screwed.
So fellow subscriber of mine… after 24 hours of straight blogging without rest…. busting this post out for you with everything I have in me….. so you can make this year your most successful to date, and continually improve from here on out…. be sure to get out there and use this info to get as many people into shape as possible….
I’ve laid it all out here for you, all you gotta do now is take massive action on this stuff
Almost a decade of learning the in’s and outs for fitness training, marketing, sales, business, internet marketing, and fitness marketing… and then a straight 24 hours, right now, without sleep… pouring my soul, blood, sweat and tears into this beast of a post….. with the background being a constant rotation of The Black Keys, Californication … Thanks Sarah for the awesome tip….. (= …Seinfeld, Parks and Rec, The Office and Modern Family… music and my favorite comedies keep me company when I write.
And yes, I’m a pretty a slow typer… more of a pecker actually… and English never really was a strong point… did horrible in it, probably averaged a D… even though, I did great in creative writing class, when my stories I was writing on the side as little indie side projects, once discovered by my innocent mother putting away some socks… to make a long story short, it ended me up in therapy… my teacher and parents weren’t quite ready for the young budding Henry Rollins, Quentin Tarantino, PT Anderson, Gray Halbert, John Carlton, Judd Apatow, Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Adam Carolla, Corey Taylor influenced writer … who would later go onto become this unlikely business consultant to the fitness industry.
This is by far one the best blog posts I’ve ever done … maybe not in terms of philosophical depth mixed with offbeat humor… nor is it one of my more motivational posts…. and it doesn’t carry a ton of attitude or edge to it either… ( well that’s my intent for now, but sometimes my laptop keyboard takes on a life of it’s own)
Bottom Line… this is one straight-up bad ass blog post…
It’s The Ultimate Blueprint to a HIGHLY Successful Training Business … breaking down the EXACT things you need to do if you want to own your own kick ass fitness training business ( private, group, boot camp, or a hybrid model) …. making everything as drawn out and as easy to understand as possible… ESPECIALLY, if you wanna earn the big bucks… sounds so cheesy when you say it like that… “the big bucks”… but who doesn’t wanna make “the big bucks”?
It’s better than making the little bucks.
Now, for the trainer who wants to sit on their ass and thinks the world is gonna send them clients because they have abs and a certification, if that’s what you want, there’s a ton of gyms ready to hire you and hand you clients… as long as you’re cool with giving them most of the money and control of everything, then that’s one way to go.
Or you can work for yourself and just wing it a bit, and probably even make $60K, $80K, or even $100K a year, being a self employed fitness trainer
OR…. you can….
Build it KBL ( or Kick Back Life) style … where you have a shit ton of fun working your ass off, building a freedom business based on relationships, instead of transactions, and changing people’s lives through your passion for fitness
Kick Back Life doesn’t mean that you just kick back and passively let money come find you… it’s about creating a business built on systems that helps people get what they want … for a trainer, often times that “thing” that your clients want… and that they’re willing to pay good money for … is to look good and feel good”
You provide a valuable service, with the end result, being a happier, healthier, and better looking client
The client provides you with money for your service.
The more clients you get, the better the results that you get those clients… and the better service you can provide those clients, including customer service, as well as, the overall entire customer experience…. the more successful your business will be
The more you can automate all this, the easier your life will be… and your potential for success can become limitless
There’s a formula I like to use for my mentoring clients, fellow mastermind members, as well as, just about any ol’ body who will listen, I guess ![]()
I didn’t invent this formula… In fact I stole it from some of the best marketing minds on the planet, I watched how they ran their actual marketing business themselves…
I took what they were doin’, combined it with the age old wisdom of the science and psychology of influence, along with the streetwise “know how” from some of the best, most cutting-edge, small business and local business marketing geniuses alive today
After years of owning a training business, training clients for high dollars, as well as pro-bono, and having up to 15 trainers working on my team at a time… also coaching and mentoring fitness professionals, gym owners, and trainers from every corner of the planet for top dollar… in addition to, seeing the results in their businesses and the businesses of the thousands and thousands of trainers around the world and our community… and after years of in depth conversations’ with the top fitness marketing minds on the planet… these are the people who are influencing and changing the world around us through fitness… and many of these characters have had a profound impact on my own personal life, my thinking, and my pocketbook
Now… I’m not sayin’ all this to impress you, but let me steal from Tony Robbins here, and let you know that I wanna “impress UPON you” that I know my stuff, and how to build a massively successful fitness training business.
The system I’m about to teach you, in this beast of a blog post, can without a doubt give you a seven figure fitness training business..
HOWEVER, I MUST WARN YOU... Be willing to sweat, bleed, stress, make a mess, tick a few people off , put in LOOOOOOOOOONG hours, go without sleep… and bust your ass like 7-Figure Sam with the relentless focus of a pitbull after its kill… and be ready to wake up EARLY
Let me give you an example… I’m nocturnal and always have been, I do some of my best work between midnight and 4 am, while Sam wakes up at 3:15 am and a lot of times he will be texting me…it’s first thing in the morning for him and I’m just wrapping up my work day and getting ready to call it a night (one time Sam told me that if he sleeps in till 3:17 am he feels like a loser)
The point I am trying to make is, the knowledge is here for you if you want to build a seven figure fitness training business like my main man 7- Figure Sam, but you sure as hell better have the work ethic of the 7- Figure Sam
I PROMISE YOU, if you’re a work horse and will apply what I teach you in this blog post, you can have a local based training business that makes a million dollars or even a few million dollars a year
Below I lay it all out for you…
And I can understand you being skeptical and I’ll be honest with ya, not everybody enjoys or has in them to do what it takes to make over a million dollars a year based on a local business but if your a good person and a hardcore action taker this is the plan to get you there
The majority of fitness professionals are happy to make between a few hundred thousand dollars a year, which by all means is great money and you can help a TON of people in the process
What’s really great is… with this system below, lets say you don’t want to take on the world like a Bill Phillips or 7-Figure Sam but you do want a predictable, reliable and, consistent income every month that gives you plenty of money to provide for you as well as your families future… if you don’t ever wanna have to worry about money and you want the freedom and lifestyle that a mid or low six figure business can give you, then simply use my game plan below
But use it like a buffet, make sure your covering all of your MAIN bases and that you have a consistent flow of leads… and that you have a reliable way to convert as many of those leads as possible into paying clients… then make such a profound and positive impact on those clients lives, that you’re able to maximize the amount of money that you make off of each one
So if you wanna make millions, use the formula below and be prepared to work your friggin’ ass off
Or if you just want to make a few $100K dollars a year from your local training business, use the formula below like a buffet and pick and choose the elements that work for you and leave the rest…
BTW your still gonna have to take massive amounts of action… be prepared to embrace the chaos that it takes to overcome to reach that level of success
And you know what ??? if you just want to make $40K or $50K a year, getting people into shape and you don’t have that gung ho internal urge to set the world on fire … then just use bite sized chunks of the formula below… and you should be there in no time
In case your new to my stuff, feel free to check out my success stories page here where you can see just a small portion of the people who I’ve helped and in fact here’s a comment that just came up on my Facebook wall
Ok, so if you don’t know who I am and are new to my shit, let me absolutely assure you that I know what I’m talking about when it comes to building an extremely successful training business
And after all these years… the training sessions with personal training clients, the business coaching clients, and mentoring clients via skype all over the world… the serious business meetings and masterminds (best one ever being the THE KBL, which I’ve recently partnered on with 7-Figure Sam) as well as, hundred and possibly thousands of casual conversations shooting the breeze with successful business owners of varying degrees… I am laying before you the master plan to your dream fitness business
You are in for ONE DOOZEY, and if you don’t have time to consume this all right now MAKE SURE YOU COME BACK TO THIS POST… ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE AN ACTION TAKER WITH BIG INSPIRING BUSINESS GOALS.….
- Go Through Each Section, even if just one section a day, whatever you can handle
- Add Into Your Business One System of Each of The Main Sections, continuing to stack and improve one element at a time
- Be a good person and enter only into win/win relationships… and it’s usually best to start those relationships with the giving hand
- Persist, adapt, and overcome… trudging full speed ahead toward your mighty goals with unparalleled relentlessness
- Continue to learn and network with like minded individuals
And I know my art work is kick ass and I’m a natural artist by nature … thanks for the compliments on my awesome art
…
Here is the master plan:

Ok,so lets’ break it down…
Lead Generation Systems
LEADS
Referrals – To this day, even with all the technology we have at our fingertips, referrals are STILL one of the biggest ways that trainers get clients… by FAR
The trainers who get most of their clients from referrals, pretty much, deliver GREAT training, GREAT results, top-notch customer service, have developed a “culture” in their business, and have well structured SYSTEMS in place for getting those referrals
The big key to getting lots of referrals are, getting our clients results, delivering a top notch client experience all the way from the customer service to the training session, asking for them, putting on lots of fun contests and challenges, which I will get into in a minute, and continually stacking more referral generations systems into your business
if you’d like to learn a whole gang of strategies to get more referrals click here for a free gift that’ll help you a ton (=
Contests and Challenges – Contests and challenges are one of the most fun, viral, organic and positive ways to build your business
In the VERY near future, I have a program coming out where I break down several successful contests and challenges that trainers are using to get great results, tons of new clients, extra streams of revenue, make your training programs more fun… and give you the tools to make these happen as “Done-For-You” and as smooth as possible in your business.
Since the program isn’t out yet, and I wanna give you good vibes about the program, so when it comes out you’ll obviously want to buy it (= … I’ll hook you up with one of the interviews from the program now, loaded with everything you need to know to run two very successful and very different challenges in your business
Click here to download the interview…trust me you don’t want to miss this one
And click here to see another one of my favorite contests that trainers have been running… I’m constantly getting positive feedback from trainers, I know, that are having tremendous success with this contest/challenge in particular
Deal of the Day Sites-Ya know lately a lot of fitness pros having been getting a TON of clients from coupon sites like Groupon in the states and Cudos over in AU
… HOWEVER…
SOME trainers hate these kinds of promotions and end up with nothing but a bunch of headaches and customer service and admin. issues, from these types of offers
What’s the difference ?
It’s simple… 99% of the time the trainers who DON’T do well with these Deal-of-the-Day / Coupon offer type of sites, are the ones who don’t have a strategic step-by-step conversion system in place to take the flood of people using the discount offer and converting them into long term paying clients
This is a HUGE No No
Seriously… the biggest make-it-or-break-it-factor, when it comes to these sites, is your “deal taker” to “long term” paying client conversion process… it can literally be the difference between getting a bunch of pain in the ass short-term clients and making a few grand…
…OR getting the few grand and strategically taking the quality “deal takers” and placing them into longer programs that run a minimum of 6 to 12 months
Like some trainers are doin’, you can actually make over $100K dollars off a single promotion if you take the time to do it right… now granted, that $100K might take 6-12 months to come in because it’s all on EFT agreements, but hell… $100K delivered to your bank account over the next 6 to 12 months for one little promotion ain’t too shabby… and the way some trainers blow money, spreading out the money is actually the best thing to do in many cases
Hopefully everything here makes sense…
…Now… either…
One – Do what most fitness pros do and use Daily Deal and Coupon Sites haphazardly and make a little money for a lot of headaches
or… the better option… and I mean WAY better option, is to…
Two – Use Daily Deal and Coupon Sites with a STRATEGIC APPROACH at converting the “deal takers” into long-term paying clients, maximizing the amount of money you make while minimizing your headaches ( Now, you won’t actually eliminate all headaches and issues, but you will be able to keep them to an absolute minimum)
The choice is yours, both ways work at getting people in the door, but only one works at keeping them around long enough and at high enough prices to make any real profit
Google – To this day Google is still my primary source of getting training clients in my local training business… I guesstimate that Google alone has made me over a million dollars worth of personal training clients in my local area coming primarily from Google organic and Google Places
Click here for some awesome information about how to best use Google places/local
Getting clients from Google Organic is the way I’ve always gotten most of my clients; however, getting your website to the top of Google and keeping it up there typically isn’t the most fun type of work for a fitness professional… it’s definitely not something you should be spending your time doing and you can hire someone to do it for you for about 5 to 10 percent per hour as much as YOU’RE worth
I definitely recommend outsourcing your web and SEO work, unless sitting around building websites all day is your idea of fun… I’m sure you’d rather be kicking your clients asses or getting in a workout yourself, plus its a proven fact that this type of work can cause your typical boot camp instructor to go postal
If you need a website that’s optimized for Google, looks real clean and professional and can help convert visitors into clients Click Here
And if you wanna get clients from Google by being right up there smack dab at the top, then Click here to use the search engine optimization service that I use and many of the top fitness professionals rely on
Local Media Appearances- Being featured in the local media is one of the fastest and most powerful ways to build your client base.
The problem is most fitness trainers have absolutely NO IDEA how to get their business in the local media… they actually think it’s hard or requires luck.
Being in the media is one of the most powerful things you can do for your training business… It gives you mountains of credibility, which, in turn, gives you massive levels of authority (one of the main Weapons Of Influence)… It positions you as the go-to expert in your city for solving people’s fitness problems…and makes the sales process MUCH easier… cuz’ if the media trusts what you say… then OBVIOUSLY you know what you’re doin’,… it also puts all of your marketing promotions on steroids cuz’ you can recycle media coverage many times over
It’s one of the best marketing funnels known to man, and can help you generate hundreds of leads for your training business on a regular and consistent basis
Basically, if you’re not taking advantage of publicity for your fitness business, then you’re leaving hundreds of thousands of dollars on the table for your competitors to take from you.
If you would like to get a mountain of leads by being featured in your local media as a local fitness expert and celebrity then Click Here
Email Marketing – If you’ve been around the fitness training industry for any length of time, you’re more than aware that the most financially successful fitness professionals have a large “quality” email list that they market to an ongoing and consistent basis.
You see… not everyone in your local area who wants to get into shape is ready to start your training program right away… actually, it’s a well known fact that it takes a prospect an average of seven exposures to your marketing message before they respond and become a paying client.
With email marketing, you’re able to put your marketing message in front of your prospective clients in an automated fashion… over and over … until they they ARE READY to get started training with you.
And the beauty of it is, since different people respond to different hot buttons being pushed, you’re able to hit your list from a multitude of different angles, until you make an offer to them that they just can’t refuse.
Email marketing gives you HUNDREDS of chances to make the sale, instead of just one… giving you a MUCH greater chance of converting your leads into paying clients.
Now I’m not talking about spam… I’m talking about building a “permission based” email list of people who WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU… people who have raised their hands and said “Yes… it’s ok to email me”
When you have a decent sized email list of at least a few thousand people in your local area interested in what you offer, and you provide them value on a regular basis… you have what I call push-button easy money making.
Basically, anytime you wanna make money, you just send out an email to your list and provide them with value and an offer for your services or even for an affiliate product, which is a great way to create secondary income streams
If you would like to become a Jedi ninja master at email marketing, and would like to discover how to build a large email list to market to them, then your definitely gonna wanna check out the email marketing program I just made for fitness professionals- you can see it HERE
And if you’d like an entire year of email promotions, already written and done for you in advance, my boy 7-Figure Sam has his 7-Figure email program that you can just plug right into your business and push the send button on, just Click Here
Trade Shows and Lead Boxes – Unless you live in a small town with a population of 263… Your local area is PACKED WITH TONS of people who will make great training clients for you…willing and happy to PAY you good money for your services.
However, many of them aren’t searching on the internet for a trainer… they aren’t friends with any of your clients but it is actually really easy to get their information every month using a strategical and aggressive plan of attack involving trade shows and lead boxes… but done in a way you’ve never seen before… using your own team of mostly commission based sales people calling thousands of these leads up for you every month with the ability to get you new clients on a daily basis.
If you’d like to learn more about the process of using trade shows and lead boxes to generate thousands of leads per month and having an automated way of converting them into paying clients then Click Here
Blogging – MARKETING HAS CHANGED…Because of all the hype and scams out there… people are naturally distrustful and highly suspicious of anyone trying to sell them on just about anything… ESPECIALLY on the Internet.
There IS one way to thrive, however, in this world of skeptics and suspicion… and it’s Blogging
A blog actually allows you to ethically sneak in under their radar, and become a trusted and well-liked friend… a friend who they’ll look to for ALL their fitness needs.
With a blog, you develop win/win relationships with your customers… you start by helping them get what they REALLY want in life, THEN THEY give you some money, you then help them get MORE of what they really want in life, and then they give you MORE money.
You keep helping them get what they want…They keep giving you money.
It’s a win/win relationship.
And not only that, but…
Blogging Allows You To Create Clients and Customers For Life
With a blog, you’re able to connect with your audience in a way that isn’t possible using any other form of mass communication.
Your audience will like and trust you… allowing you to convert many of them into lifelong clients and customers.
Click Here to turn into a blogging bad ass… This is my favorite of all my courses by far and is a super fun course to go through as well
Public Speaking – If you’re good at speaking in front of crowds, doing corporate lunch and learns, grocery store tours, free workshops and seminars, nutrition talks, and gittin’ your good-lookin-in-shape ass up on stage, in front of people as often as you can…public speaking can be a HUGE gold mine of new clients
While I got to be honest, it is one of my least favorite things in the world to do, I know plenty of trainers who have built almost their entire business from the whole local speaking gig thing
Joint Ventures – Creating win/win partnerships with other local businesses in your area, where you work collectively to build each others businesses, is one of the fastest and low cost ways around to get clients, a few examples are
- You train the owner the of the business and maybe his family and a few employees, in return they promote you in their business on an ongoing basis
- You can simply cross promote each other, which can be anything from emailing to each others listor sending direct mail to each others clients via endorsed offers
- Lets say there is a popular food restaurant in town that you can send your clients to and they’ll get a special discount, which no one receives but your clients… it gives them new clients and they can include a portion of their menu dedicated to items you approved
There are literally countless ways to do business to business joint ventures and in the very near future I’ll be releasing a program, with my friend Corey Beasley, to help set these relationships up
There are also a ton of other strategies that work to get new clients, including …
- Direct Mail
- SMS Marketing
- Entry Level Promotions
The above list is the current best lead sources, I know of, that trainers are having massive levels of success with…
Ok, so now, you’ve gotten your leads, but you need ways to convert them into paying clients… these are called
Conversion Systems
You may or may not have a different conversion funnel system for your different lead sources… for example, you may have a different way of converting a client who comes in from a referral as you would someone who found you when they where searching on Google… and you may have a different system for converting people to your higher end private personal training programs, as compared to your boot camp programs… which probably cost less and requires a whole different way of going about converting the lead
The key to good conversions is to, test, tweak, and improve your systems that turn a lead into a paying client… constantly working to maximize the percent of leads who join your program
Below are a few options for you… I strongly recommend this is an area you don’t just “wing it” with
PROSPECT to CLIENT CONVERSION SYSTEMS
Here’s a few Conversion System options… I strongly recommend talking to other successful trainers about your conversion systems, or becoming involved in a serious mastermind group so you can make sure that this part of your business is always dialed in… you’ll constantly be learning whats working, and you’ll have lots of opportunity to come up with the conversion funnel that works best for you and your business
I’m a big fan of the consultative selling model…when your not trying to talk anyone into anything, your just helping to guide the prospect to the conclusion that is best for themselves
Its about as far on the other end of the spectrum from slimy and pushy sales tactics
Conversion System Option Number 1 – To see the exact consultative selling system that I paid a $15,000 dollar a day sales consultant to help me come up with… and in my own personal business, has closed an extremely high percentage of leads into paying clients… and that helps you, the trainer, come across very non-pushy and cool, just click here
Conversion System Option 2 – And here’s another system that I know a lot of trainers are having a ton of success with, Click Here to see it
Conversion System Option 3 – Just know that there’s no single best way to do this, the key is constantly tweaking and improving your lead to client conversion funnels and systems, giving you the highest possible chances of making the conversion
Now once you’ve got them as a paying client, your gonna wanna do two very important things
One- add as much value to their life as you can, helping them to get the results they want in a safe and efficient manner, as possible
Two- maximize the amount of profit that you make off of that client (but do it only in ways that add value to their life)
Premium Programs -Offer a limited availability, extremely high priced premium program that costs between 200% and 500% what your regular program costs… you can add in things like, some one on one private training sessions, refrigerator sneak attacks ( where you show up out of the blue and inspect their kitchen from time to time) , do extra things to make them feel extra accountable and supported, have some mindset sessions, unlimited access to you…or whatever it is that you can do to make your service more valuable and that you can offer to your clients… and 5% to 10% will take you up on it
Up-sells and Add-ons- Anything you can add on to make more money from the client at or after the point of purchase… an example would be, offering a once a week Saturday morning boot camp for only an extra $47 a month
Retention – Good marketing without good client retention is like working out hard in the gym but living on candy, corn chips, and soda pop… you might see some results, but it probably won’t be anything major.
With good retention, your clients get better results because they stay with you longer
Now, because they get better results and are around longer, they refer more people to you
If you become a master of retention, because of your ability to keep clients for years and years, you don’t constantly have to deal with the hassles and headaches of feeling pressured to try to get more clients all the time (Sure, you’ll wanna get new clients on a regular basis… but you won’t NEED to since your income just grows and grows … unlike most trainers, as you get new clients you’ll be keeping the old ones… instead of constantly trying to replace those lost clients… no more dealing with the revolving door 19 out of 20 trainers are plagued with)
And most importantly… you make more money
With the right retentions systems in place, you could completely ignore marketing and actually have a successful training business just keeping your current clients and the referrals they bring in… however, I’m not suggesting you do it that way…
If you’d like strategies that are quick and easy to plug-in to your business, and will help you keep clients for years instead of a few months… then just click here
Supplements- offering a supplement line to your clients… just some of the basics like protein powders, multi-vitamins, and fish oil can help your clients not only lead healthier lives and get better results, but is also a great way to make additional revenue… I know a lot of trainers like the supplement line Prograde… Ive heard nothing but good things about them, here is a non-affiliate link ,where you can learn more about them
Nutrition Services – Meal delivery services are one of the best ways to not only help your clients keep their nutrition dialed in but earn extra revenue each month… the problem is most of them suck.
Recently I’ve found a service that not only doesn’t suck but is, also, an exciting way to make a consistent and predictable re-occurring income in your training business each month, AND get your clients into great shape in less time
The food pre-cooked, fresh frozen meals containing no processed fillers or preservatives, it’s delivered to your clients front door step… and it pays you a nice recurring sum of $60 – $80 each month for every training client you put on the program
This can be a HUGE additional profit center in your training business, without you needing to put in any additional hours of work
This is Meal Delivery Program designed & sold by professional trainers for their customers…
These meals DO NOT include processed fillers like noodles, pastas, white rice, potatoes or preservatives… There are 3 plans which trainers or their customers may order… The foods are natural products: meats, vegetables, natural dairy, and select nuts… these meals are not TV dinners… Your client orders individually bagged meats and vegetables to create their lunches & dinners.
The food tastes great and is all-natural, your clients will love it
It’s free to register for this meal delivery service for your clients, and is beyond a doubt one of the smartest things you could do for your clients AND your business

Results – And finally, no matter how good your marketing, no matter how dialed in your conversions, no matter how pretty your trainers or facility are, if you don’t produce results for people, you”re simply not going to be able to build an empire…
HOWEVER… get people into incredible shape and they’ll love you forever
When you help someone get into shape you’re giving them the gift of fitness, which is one of the most bitchin’ things you can give someone… it can have a profound positive effect on them physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually
They end up looking better, living longer, and living a much more full, fun and complete life because of you and that’s a damn good feeling…

AND… finally…If you’re new to training and you wanna implement everything from the basics to some of the more advanced “under-the-radar” strategies and cutting-edge tactics, you can get a TON of that information, without even spending ONE SLIM DIME, on my blog ‘Kick Back Life’ as well as 7-Figure Sam’s blog “Super Trainer“
I’ll end this blog post on a few thoughts that were inspired by my bud Jason Ferruggia,
A LOT of trainers these days are in hurry to get out of the gym and start focusing on being a business owner, instead of getting people into shape… and I may be partially at fault for this… because I AM one of the guys who tells people to work ON their business more and less in it if they want it to grow, and from a financial stand point, that’s a way to make a TON of money… but all the money in the world can’t make you happy…it’s important to do what you enjoy… and if you enjoy training people, by all means do it
And like I’ve heard Jason say before: “If you’ve only been training for a year or so like a lot of these young trainers today, and you already wanna work ON your business and no longer IN it… so you can just make bunch of money.. then maybe this ain’t the industry for you and you should get out and go do something else for a living”
A REAL trainer has training in their blood
It’s what they’re meant to do
If you’re one of these people, don’t cut yourself off from doin’ what you love just to make more money
Having money is great and it can help you get rid of the problem of not having enough money… but in and of itself, it’s not something that can fill the void of denying yourself of your passion
I’m not saying don’t work ON your business, because if making good money and having freedom are goals of yours, then working on improving your marketing, sales, and overall business is vital… but I’m here to tell you as a guy who’s done just the business aspect of things for a few years now, I miss training people like crazy and am STRONGLY considering getting back into it
I find it FAR more fulfilling then the business stuff

Call It 'Operation Make Sure This DOESN'T Happen'
HOWEVER, I do enjoy the money the business and marketing stuff provides me with… and I love seeing a trainers business grow because of the things I’ve helped him ( or her) with
But it doesn’t replace taking people through challenging workouts and seeing them change right in front of your eyes
And it doesn’t replace all the client/trainer bonds that you can make that last a lifetime
I think , at least for me, it comes down to creating a balance of doin’ what you enjoy AND making enough money to be able to do what you want, when you want and NOT having to worry about money
I hope you enjoyed this post as I certainly enjoyed staying up all night writing it for you… I have a prediction to make for you, if you just do the simple things that are layed out to you in this blog post, you too will be doing the happy dance

I am so grateful to God everyday for all the amazing people in my life… and for all of the amazing people in the fitness industry…
After dabbling in the internet marketing industry for a while, mostly to learn how to sell my own “how to” information products to fitness professionals ( Like many of the products I linked to in this page )
I was fascinated with internet marketing for a while that I went out and made a movie about it, and while making this movie I learned a few things…
For one, I leaned that most of the people in the internet marketing industry are just in it to make a quick buck… seriously… a HUGE portion of the internet marketing crowd are people who just wanna be rich….. they want the quick buck and the magic bullet … but most of them seem to have very little interest in adding value to the world…
The Ultimate Lazy Man’s Business
And I gotta admit… it looked VERY attractive to my lazy side… as well as the sides of me that just wanted more freedom and more fun in life as well as financial security for my family.
But as I dug deeper and deeper into the internet marketing world , it became more and more apparent that it’s an industry niche filled with people who want something for nothing … and when that’s how you look at the world, you’ll always be broke miserable… because the world give you back what you put into it, often many times over.
The industry soon looked to be more than a a bunch of biz opp people looking for something to help them escape the job they hate… but they have no interest in trying to find or create something that adds value to peoples lives and that they’ll happily pay for over and over and refer again and again.
Also, I noticed how most great copywriters ( guys who write ads for a living) look WAY older than they actually are… I think it’s because of all the bullshit they have to sling day in day out.
Let’s face it, marketing is BY FAR one of of the most important aspects of business, and without it, you’d have no customers
However, diving into it head first it became apparent that in the internet marketing niche in general, the amount of bullshitters and people who will do or say anything to make a buck… provided that thing they need to say or to make that buck doesn’t add any real value to the world whatsoever.
Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not like all the people in the internet marketing world are assholes, actually about 5% if the people in that niche are super cool…and I ended becoming good friends with, and learning from the top guys in the world, with Andy Jenkins even being cool enough to spend an entire weekend in Vegas helping my mastermind members… and I’ve found that at the top you’ll find some extremely smart and giving people. ( You can see part of Andy’s presentation here and here )
But the community as a whole… the “IM” scene… not my kind of people for the most part… I mean my experience is that most are just in it to make a quick buck…. and that get’s boring and shallow quick.
But the fitness training industry, especially this thing of ours…. is an industry is filled with some of the coolest, most giving , craziest, fun, competitive and all around cool people around
It’s pretty hard to hang around the following cast of characters and not allow some of their awesomeness to rub off on you… everyone adding their own unique brand of coolness to the industry …
The fitness industry has the coolest cats in the world… like take for example…
My boy 7-Figure Sam ( who was my second person to join my original mentoring program … BTW, Zach Hunt was my first, and Jonas Deffes…was my 3rd mentoring client years ago.. Jonas is the dude who did up with all the cool pics of Sam in this post).. Sam’s gym was already kicking ass by the time he hired me BTW
What I noticed right away about Sam is that he’d take massive action on simultaneous things… I’d give him… and get them done FAST
After years of getting to know Sam, what’ Ive found is that he’s extremely giving, he’s probably the best action taker I know, in terms of not only taking massive action, but also having the unique ability to combine intuition with street smarts, book smarts, balls of steel, a giant heart, the ability to intensely focus on his goals, he’s a master networker and can bond with almost anyone instantly… from the five year old brat to the little old lady, from cops to the gangsta, from the church lady to the billionaire business tycoon
Sam is a true leader and I predict will soon be the number one guy in the fitness business niche ( IF he wants to that is)
And let me tell you, there are some bad ass gurus in this thing of ours… some new, some with a few years under their belts and a few are real old school guys who’ve been teaching making money stuff to fitness pros FOR A LOOOOONG TIME…
For myself, a lot of started with Ryan Lee back in the day… and Ryan still gets mass respect around here at KBL for being the first of our kind … at least in my generation of trainers coming up ( yes there are a few even older school guys like Phil Kaplan and Thomas Plummer… but Ryan Lee is where I started)
Today there’s a handful of guys, and most of the “guru’s” ,for lack of a better word, in our community are pretty friggin cool
Dudes like John Spencer Ellis and Pat Rigsby… totally awesome guys… bright, dialed in, well educated in business and in fitness… practicing what they preach, quality programs, helping lots of people… I’m talking about some seriously awesome dudes
What many people don’t know is that a large percent of our industry was segmented before, most of the big guys weren’t promoting each other, hanging out, or even communicating.
Well Sam turned all this around and has been bringing a lot of the big guys together, creating events, projects and promotions together, sending traffic to each others blogs, free reports, and free videos, as well as, promoting products for each other, and that’s something our industry has needed for a long time.
It’s common place for business “guru’s” … not just the fitness niche but any niche, to try to keep their customers all to themselves, make the customers feel they need to turn them for everything … and come from a place of scarcity by trying to hoard the market….
Well Sam understands that the best customers are the most successful, and they buy shit from everyone… a buyer is a buyer… and Sam knows that if someone else has a good product or tool available that benefits his list, that he’s doin’ his list disservice by NOT telling his clients about it..
All of this really helps the entire community… everyone… from the guys teaching the stuff to the people absorbing and applying it, we all make money, and there’s plenty to go around for everyone…
Lifting up others is how to become truly successful yourself
So I want to publicly acknowledge Sam for lifting up our community as a hole, being the driving force in bringing a lot of the cool people in the industry TOGETHER… and literally creating a community in upon itself…
…of the best of the best….
BTW, Sam and myself still have some spots in the KBL Jedi Mastermind.
What’s awesome is that the investment foe the program is half what it used to be, by us saving on useless expenses that do nothing to grow your business
if you’re interested in speaking for a few minutes on the phone with Sam about the mastermind to see if it’s a good fit for you, fill out the form on this page here and in it, ask to “speak with Sam about joining the KBL”
There’s also so many cool people in this industry, who I’ve come to know well and who really know what the heck they’re doin’ when it comes to making good money in the world of fitness, and helping others do the same.
I’m always learning from others this list is no where NEAR complete, but along with my boy 7-Figure Sam, I wanna thank the following people ( in no particular order) for being friends, being such a great member of our community, and for being one of the people I personally learn from and for being some I think are having a powerful positive impact on the world of fitness…
There’s Pat Rigsby, who probably knows more about creating a fitness business based on systems than anyone around…
John Spencer Ellis, who has hundreds of boot camp locations around the world, owner and creator of NESTA fitness certifications and about 963 other really awesome things… John is just one of those guys you gotta love…
Dax Moy, is a coaches coach and gets paid up to the tune of $20K a week to train someone… he is probably the highest paid trainer in the world and has a large following of trainers in the UK, who swear by his methods…
Alicia and Carrie “The Bootcamp Girls”, these two have showed up on the scene recently with their own brand of top quality workouts, customer service, contests and challenges, and judging by the response I get from trainers all over the world, everytime I mail out for these girls, our community absolutely loves these girls…
Jeff Sherman and Justin Blum, lately Jeff and Justin have broken out on the scene with their done-for-you boot camp systems teaching their cutting edge done-for-you building boot camp strategies… if you know these guys it’s like watching the Odd Couple or Two and a Half Men or Due Date…
Brian Devlin has created a loyal following of training clients, as well as, trainers that love his program… he is one of the best around when it comes to putting together training programs that are fun, safe, unique, and highly effective… Brian is a total action taker… one time I emailed Brian to see if he wanted to give gifts to each other lists, and when I woke up the next morning he had a program with a squeeze page individualized for subscribers to my email list… I was expecting the gift exchange to happen in two or three days… he had it ready to go the next morning…
Ryan Lee, the original fitness marketing O.G… Ryan has evolved into to one of the top internet marketers in the world… I know he has a love for the fitness industry, and the fitness industry loves him… I’ll always have mad respect for Ryan because he helped promote me, even when I was nobody… and I think that dude still gets checks from me for a continuity program he mailed out for me 3 years ago… today Ryan is a very devoted family man and is truly living the internet lifestyle dream…
Emile Jarreau also known as Mr Fat loss… Emile has done a great job of tapping into the fat loss market and profiting from it through multiple income streams, as well as, having a team of 20 top level fitness models promoting his business for him constantly bringing him new business ( Keep an eye out for something big from Emile this week with his brand new fat loss program for trainers)…
Scott Lofquist is owner and operator of Crossfit on 18th, as well one of the top experts in the world in the area of strength, speed and performance conditioning for men over the age of 45.
Aaron Guyett, and Corey Beasley , own innovative results in Costa Mesa California, have around 40 pro fighters who train under them… they’ve created a tribe in their local community of die hard raving clients and fans some where to the tune of 230…
Luca Hocevar, In 2009 Luka Made $67,000… one year later… In 2010 Luka made $117,000 .. and then just one short year later... In 2011 Luka made $330,000… about five times what he made just two short years earlier… similar to Aaron and Corey, Luka has built a tribe of clients in his local community leveraging things, getting his clients results, delivering intense workouts and making it all fun with a real community feel to it…
Big Larry Clay, 6’8″ 330 lbs. black belts in 8 types of martial arts, long time Krav Maga master, one of my best friends, who threw drunks out of bars with me (we where bouncers) in the late 90′s… today Larry owns multiple boot camp locations, has his system dialed in so well, trainers actually pay Larry a high fee to be able to train clients under his brand… Larry is a master of getting a boot camp up to making $20K within 30 to 60 days of the boot camp being open… Larry is also a christian minister…
Steve Krebs in an area that has one of the worst economic climates and employment rates in the entire country, Steve averages mid five figures each and every month…
Shawn Phillips and his brother Bill are two of the greatest fitness marketers of all time… flooding the fitness market with products and programs like Muscle Media, Creatine, and Myoplex…
Jason Ferruggia is straight up one of the coolest mofo’s in the fitness industry and is someone you could learn a ton from when it comes to blogging, working out, personal branding, and information marketing…
Vince Delmonte and Mike Geary have tuned their knowledge of fitness into millions, all through the power of information marketing…
Chad Waterbury is one of the most in demand trainers I’ve ever met in my life, a general over all cool dude to hang out with…
Mark Bell is the editor in chief of Power Magazine and Chris Bell maker of documentary Bigger, Stronger, Faster…
Zach Even-Esh is my brutha from another mutha and is a true definition of a friend, strength coach, entrepreneur, information marketer, and puts his family before anything in his life…
AJ Roberts is a world record power lifter in the big boy weight classes… AJ knows more about internet marketing and the marketing of fitness, than anyone I know
Zach Hunt while he may seem reserved get him to Vegas with a bag of cocaine and a couple of hookers and you will see a man who will make Rick James look like a saint… In all seriousness Zach is a stand up guy and is a genius at finding more and more ways to build his training business while he continues to work less and less…
Paul Mort a.k.a “The Boot Camp King” has 27 boot camps and is one of the funniest, craziest trainers, I know
Rob King has multiple incomes in the fitness industry, is a 7 figure earner and is known to work through all hours of the night like, I am…
Erik Rokeach I am blown away by what Erik has done for the fitness industry this past year or so… Erik has hooked up trainers with more free content than anyone else I know without trying to pitch a whole bunch of stuff, as far as I know… the dude has a genuine heart and a love for our community…
Josh Carter is one of the funniest gym owners around and knows more about marketing for Facebook than anyone, I know, and that’s a pretty big statement taking into consideration that my little brother Jeff Mccombs is Head of Operations of Facebook… true story…
Valerie Waters creator of the valslide and celebrity trainer to about 20% of Hollywood’s A-lister’s, it seems, and Valerie has a GIANT heart… anyone who knows her would say the same…
Greg Justice has logged more training hours than probably any other trainer on the planet and loves our industry like very few do
Jonathan Fields a buddy of mine who has fused an awesome life of working out, helping others, blogging, internet marketing, and being a father… he has a real cool blog check it out sometime…
James “Smitty’ Smith whenever I have an injury Smitty along with Jason Pegg and Eric Cressey almost always have the answer immediately on what I should do about it… just like I consider myself pretty smart when it comes to making money online and making money from my blog, these guys are wicked smart when it comes to the science of exercise and strength and conditioning
Brian Grasso is former head of the IYCA, is a masterful public speaker and motivator, has 19 tattoos that he usually has covered up by a dress shirt… keep your eye out for a lot of stuff to come from Brian in the self development world…
Damn, just as I sit here…and think of all the cool trainers… Rocco Castellano, Dave Depew, Jon Le Toq, Elliot Hulse, Nate Dilworth, Jason Pegg, Jaiya Figueras, Callie Durbrow, Sako Yakinian, Pat Beith, … and that doesn’t BEGIN with the heaps of high end mentoring clients from the AU… guys like Dan Clay, Adam McKenzie, Brett Mathews, Adam Prowse and Mik Forfa.
And there are so many real and true leaders of our field in terms of the science of training people, like Alwyn Cosgrove, Eric Cressey, Mike Boyle and Dan John.
No I don’t sit around reading Siff and Zatsiorsky on my free time these days… but I do have a healthy respect of the science behind everything and am grateful to know many of the guys on the cutting edge changing the way that people workout… how friggin cool is that?
There are some many great people in our community that I would like to thank for having an influence on my life, or for shaping me and/or our world for the better.
Soooooooo many people to thank that I can’t even begin to start…. * I ACTUALLY feel like an A-Hole right now because I had to leave off way more names than I could put on here for the sake of “getting this blog post finished this century”
Also Including, just about every top internet marketer in the world like Frank Kern and Andy Jenkins… top bloggers and online super freaks like Clay Collins .. stelath niche guys like Dave Miz… and so many successful gym owners, boot camp instructors, personal trainers, fitness info guys, and hardcore direct response marketers doin’ six, seven, and even up to eight figures…

I’d like to thank my full time personal assistant and office manager Veronica Cisneros… I simply could not have made this post as awesome as it is without her support and handling all the little stuff…
Veronica stayed up the 24 hours with me helping to edit the post, transcribe some of my “talking the post” when I was too tired to write, and for bringing me lots of good healthy food while I sat there and typed … I mean pecked… for nearly 25 hours straight… sometimes falling asleep for a few seconds, dozing off and waking up to her bringing me countless protein shakes and cups TeJava black tea loaded extra caffeine and Stevia …. I kept falling asleep with my finger on a key and sentences that look like this:
iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiuuuuuuuuuuuuu
…..so thanks Veronica.
And…. I’d like to thank Sarah and my three little babies, just for being themselves… exactly as they are.
And finally, I want to thank you…
I want to thank YOU, the reader of KickBackLife… whether you’re a simple blog / newsletter subscriber, a new customer, a long time loyal reader and customer… if you’re a KBL Mastermind member, or if you’re one of those beautiful souls who buy everything I come out with… or if you’re a high end coaching client down the street or on the other side of the planet… or just stop by occasionally to see what’s happening here at Planet Kick Back

Amazing post my man. So simple – yet everything you need to be a success. Thanks for all that you do Chris. Stoked to be one of your clients. Best decision I've made since marrying my wife!
Hey Chris,
I've said this before…and not too many others will tell you this…but damn I was hating on you when you first rolled on to the scene. I was like "who is this f#cking giant?" He's insane with SEO…his blog is ridiculous…and he's got this cool white boy thing going on that almost gives him some "Soul Flava"
All that being said…he's an eccentric genius with a keyboard and a mouse and I'm glad to be part of a game changing group of fitness professionals running things on the planet.
Nice piece brother!
E/M2
Great post for new trainers and up and comers Chris. True Kick Back style post!
Damn man! One helluva post. Taking the bull by the horns and putting out a piece like this is awesome. The content from this alone can take someone's business to the next level. This is some serious A+ Level content.
Plus you hit the nail on the head when you said the fitness industry has some of the coolest people in the world. That's so true. I've been in a bunch of other industries, and none compared to this one. That's because the people in fitness are just cool. And that's why I love it.
Keep rockin' out posts like this bro.
Oh, and thanks for the shout out. Super cool of you!
Crazy my man, I'm going to have to set aside a good hour or so to read this through a few times so I don't miss anything. Thanks for all the help.
oh em gee.
that is all.
Solid advice man, thanks for that. Like Andy said you could have put that in an ebook and charged $$ for it. Really appreciate you taking the time to write a VERY helpful post.
Chris – You da man! You post amazing content, love reading what you have to say! DL'd your BEASTMODE Action Plan, will read and get on it!!! Thanks again bro!
