Corey Mother F*cking Taylor… best front man on the planet and a true artist who does things his own way and truly loves his fans… I’m pretty much into all his stuff… ESPECIALLY his band Stone Sour, but also his other band Slipknot, his solo stuff and his tunes with Apocalyptica, Walls of Jerricho and Travis Barker

At phases in my life fave bands and musicians have been Armored Saint, Metallica, Slayer ( to say I was an angry youth is an understatement )…Tool, Anthrax, Megadeth, Pantera, Priest, Maiden, AD/DC, KISS ( first fave band ever when I was like 8), Van Halen, Ill Bill and Vinnie Paz, Five FInger Death Punch, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Dr. Dre, Jay Z, Eminem, Pink Floyd, The Stones, John Coltrane, Al Green, Radiohead and Elliot Smith ( Ill Bill and Vinnie Paz and FIve Finger Death Punch I got turned onto from social media posts just like this one… and 5FDP’s Ivan Moody was my main influence for me rockin’ the hawk these days)

Is It Wrong To Use Sneaky Mind Control Tactics on Fitness Pros?

I have a super serious question for you, and WOULD LOVE to read your answer in the comment section below, I really do value your input.

If you knew that one of the largest fitness business seminars in the world uses manipulative mind control tactics to push it’s programs on people, how would you feel about that?

I mean if you KNEW… and had proof beyond a shadow of a doubt that manipulative words are being flashed on the screen at a certain fraction of a second, so that your conscious mind doesn’t see them but supposedly your sub-conscious will pick them up and take them for fact… all in the name of bigger profits, how would you feel about that?

( At least the theory is your subconscious mind will pick these messages up, whether it does or not is up for debate, but IMO it’s the INTENTION of the offender that really matters than whether or not the controlling tactic works)

Do you feel it’s wrong?

Now, I DEFINITELY do not have a super strong opinion on this one

Hey there, I hope this post finds you in good spirits and I wanna wish you a Happy Easter if you celebrate it.

I would LOVE to hear you thoughts on this…

The emails and Facebook comments and the blog post I just did called “This Needs To Be Said” …  got a little passionate at times.

It was something the needed to be said for a LONG time, and it was a pretty intense day… glad to be at a new day now.

I believe in focusing on the positive but when you take money from my children and abuse the community I love…  my inner Genghis Khan is gonna barrel down on your ass with the vengeance of my entire bloodline.

Some of the things I tell my son everyday are…

“Baby Christopher … remember to ALWAYS be a good person little buddy… you’re a genius dude and never ever doubt that …. no matter what anybody tells you…

Be sure to dare worthy dreams and goals but also enjoy the journey in the great HERE and NOW…because really the NOW is all we have. There is not anything that is not now.

Always stand up for what you believe in… no matter what others think of you … and in reality what they think DOES NOT MATTER .. and in fact… MOST of the time we’re all just thinking about ourselves anyway… so there’s really not much of a point to concerning yourself with it what anyone thinks of you.. and truth be told… the less you care… the more you will be liked

Let your awesome and powerful personality shine through in EVERYTHING you do … dance your dance and sing your song Little Buddy…

And ALWAYS REMEMBER that you’re perfect JUST as you are… and even so … ALWAYS strive to improve yourself, be the best “you” that “You” can be…

Love the world around you… be cool to others…  help others…

Think good thoughts and do the things that make you happy

And ALWAYS remember… YOU are responsible for YOU, your life, the ones you love, your friends, family, community and your world.

And ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS stay true to your self”

That’s kind of my overall daily lesson for my son Baby Christopher.

Standing up for what you believe in is one of the most important things each of us can do… and my son will never doubt that if he truly knows in his heart of hearts that he’s right about something… ESPECIALLY if someone is stealing from his families mouths or is harming good people… even if he feels like it’s him against the world … that he needs to do something about it.

With Truth, you NEVER lose.

And the consequence of NOT standing up for what you believe in is a regret that can eat at you from the inside out.

To make our industry what it can be and what we deserve it to be all comes down to each of us taking responsibility on an individual level

Personal responsibility for the future of our community and the reputation of our industry

It’s about you, me and everyone committing to make this community.. the die hard fitness training community.. the best it can be and help as many people as possible, profit like crazy by adding massive value into the world and have one helluva good time doin’ it. (more…)


This Needs To Be Said – Is The Fitness Industry LOST ?

Hey there, I hope this finds you well.

I wanna warn you about “Operation Sucky Fitness” and a wave I see in the fitness industry that I think is totally uncool.. and it ties in perfectly to a guy I wanna tell you about by the name of Bill Hicks… a dude I’ve listened to for years who’s life story was just made into a movie and it is POWERFUL.

Bill was a social critic and satirist who’s humor challenged mainstream beliefs… and he was a straight up BAD-ASS at guiding people to think for themselves.

He saw that people’s best interests we’re being pushed to the side in favor of big profits and he hated that stuff… the dude was like totally against superficiality, mediocrity … and anything that is meant to oppress others …

…or anything that is meant to “keep people stupid and apathetic.”

Right now in the fitness industry there’s some people wanting to keep you stupid and apathetic as well… and if you don’t see any of it yet.. you will soon.

Let’s call the leaders of this movement and the “thing” they’re forcing down the throats of the industry ‘Operation Sucky Fitness’

And good ol’ ‘Operation Sucky Fitness’ needs to be wiped out before it harms our community anymore than it has

Because when it’s about just making money and not delivering solid workouts, solid service and solid results… we all lose.

Man… it really sucks it’s all come to this and I’m about to talk about some pretty negative stuff and for that I wanna apologize in advance… however this needs to be said.

But I promise you, the message for our community here is one of togetherness, strength and hope.. it’s a message of positive change, taking responsibility and standing up for what you believe in.

Ya know, I became a fitness professional because I wanted to have a lot of fun helping a lot of people and make a good living in the meantime…

I wanted to be original, train people my way, build my own brand and never conform or comply with some industry standards or big business corporate B.S. where all that matters is more locations and the almighty dollar… no matter who you have to step on… F-that… for me it’s about freedom and fun… not stabbing backs, cutting throats and telling lies. If you’d like to know more… here’s a little note I had him write for you… not to make you feel bad for him, screw that… the dude’s on a hero’s journey… here’s what he whipped up…

At one time I ran a successful fitness business, but I have not been healthy since 2000. In 2001 I was bitten by a tick and contracted Lyme disease. I entered college on an academic scholarship and was on the dean’s list for the first semester. I also played college rugby, baseball, and soccer and weighed 165 lbs.

During the winter break of my freshmen year, I developed a huge red painful rash on the backs of both arms. Within 1 week, I was unable to support by body weight in a pushup position. Before this point, I had a record of 88 push-ups in one minute, and 326 consecutive.

I dropped out of college because I developed a wide variety of debilitating symptoms. The symptoms included: vertigo, headaches, chronic fatigue, arthritis in every joint, loss of my sense of smell, partial loss of hearing in one ear, major weight loss (from 165 lbs. to 128 lbs.), memory loss, trouble making sentences and recalling words, stomach pain, etc.

After 4 years of having no luck and no medical answers, one doctor discovered Lyme disease. I went through antibiotic treatment and my health went from debilitating to about 80%. I decided to take a break from college and focus on building a fitness business. [ At this point I met Chris McCombs ]

I was eager to succeed because I had to. I love fitness, nutrition, and helping people improve their lives. With my own health compromised, it was tough but not impossible. I powered through the pain and symptoms and built my business to over 80 clients. I opened my own indoor boot camp in 2006. I had a Dodge Viper and things were good for once!

After running the gym for 6 months, I had a major relapse. I was exiting a movie theatre and collapsed. I woke up in the hospital and had major chest pain. The Lyme disease has turned my own immune system against me and it is now attacking my own heart and nervous system. On the outside, I look fine, but on the inside I am fighting a battle for my life.

My doctor is in Maryland and he says it is urgent that I get my heart checked out, get labs, and get on medication. I’m currently on bed rest until I see him. My only issue at the moment is a shortage of cash, and the inability to work until I get treatment.

I put off my treatment out of dedication to my clients for a while. I can’t do that any longer. I’m confident in my healthy self, but my sick self is not doing so well these days.

I appreciate having amazing people who are willing to help like Chris! I’m finally at a point in my health where I will have little chance of recovering without the help and kindness of others.
